A/n: This is my first Kum fic hope you like i know its short but still give it a shot and tell me what you think
Sam had been at the football field running laps for what felt like forever. He needed to clear his head after everything that went down earlier that day.
"I can do this. I can change, it doesn't have to be the same here." Sam said to himself over and over again as he ran around the track.
The big lipped boy was not the sharpest tool in the shed but he knew that he couldn't be himself at McKinley. Hell, he couldn't even be himself at his old school. Well at least not anywhere off campus. See Sam was undeniably gay but he didn't want anyone to know that. He wasn't ashamed of his sexuality he just understood how things worked here at McKinley. And besides, he was already the new kid he didn't need to add another reason to be excluded.
When Kurt asked Sam to be his duet partner he was beyond excited. So when Kurt came to him in the shower earlier and told him they didn't have to sing together anymore he was more than a little upset. He tried to act like he didn't want to talk to Kurt because he was in the shower but the real reason he didn't want him there was because he sure he would try and jump the male diva.
He nearly lost it when he was Kurt bite his lip before he left throwing the comment about shampoo for color treated hair over his shoulder. Sam was actually about done when Kurt came in the locker room but as soon as he left he had to take a cold shower. Sam couldn't help but think the brunette boy wearing those tight jeans was the sexiest thing he had seen. Come on he was a teenage boy with ranging hormones.
Sam finally stopped running and sat down in the grass trying to catch his breath. He decided it would be best if he did the duet with Quinn like Finn said. Any think that could help take his mind off of..
"Why are you still out here?" Kurt asked startling the quarterback.
"Wh-what are you even doing out here?" Sam asked taken aback by the presence of the boy who had been clouding his mind since he first laid eyes on him during their New York number.
"Sometimes i come out here to think. Most people won't go looking for me over here so it's a nice place to get some alone time." Kurt said sitting next to the blonde boy.
"Oh, what do you need to think about?" Sam asked very interested.
"You, actually." Kurt said barely above a whisper.
"Me?" What about me?" Sam asked a bit more excited than he should have.
"Look, i don't normally do this..to be honest I've never done this before but I-" Kurt trailed off feeling lest confident then he was moments ago.
"You what?" Sam questioned hoping the smaller boy would finish what he was thinking.
"Ilikeyou" Kurt rushed out turning red at the admission.
Sam was surprised to say the least. Not that Kurt liked him, because eh saw the way the boy looked at him, but that he had actually said it. For a while Sam didn't say anything which only made Kurt more nervous about his statement. Kurt had been bullied for the better part of his high school career and he didn't want to had another boy that he fancied to that list.
"I should go." Kurt said rushing to stand up only to be stopped by a warm hand on his.
"Can i come with you?"
