This was quite the difficult task, but I managed. Please r&r!
Katie Bell is living a lie. Slytherins are her Quidditch enemies. She can't be caught speaking with them, helping them, even be seen near them. But there's a single Slytherin she can't quit admiring. Her life felt like half a life until he appeared.
Marcus Flint.
Students and teachers alike think he's the stupidest creature alive. Katie believed it as well until she'd actually talked with him. It had been accidental, but she'd surprisingly liked it. He was much smarter and sweeter than she'd expected. He just didn't like the scrutiny that came with speaking his mind and seeming intelligent. He'd never felt at ease until he'd met her. She made him feel relaxed, secure in himself.
They'd started meeting in secret whenever they had a chance, wherever there weren't prying eyes. It had started as friendship. That was all they wanted at first. Until he'd kissed her. It was gentle and sweet, tentative at first, but it had filled her with a warmth she'd never felt.
Ever since then, she can't deny that she's infatuated by him. She smiles when she sees him, even if it's just in passing, and her heart beats faster when he smiles back. He features in her dreams at night and in her mind all day.
Marcus Flint is perfect. He is her missing piece.
