Written for a 100 Themes Challenge, I haven't gotten far yet. I'm posting them on my DeviantArt account (MandraKara, if you want to look me up).
So yeah...I think they sound kinda OC, but maybe it's just me. I'll let you guys be the judge of that.
Feel free to review...or flame. Either way, I won't be offended if you flame me about something that like really sucked. Cause then I can fix it. XD
The prosecutor shook his head and quickly left the courtroom, knowing that the trial was clearly over. Not to mention, he couldn't bare to listen to any more of his brother's psychotic maniacal laugher, though it had already begun to echo in his mind. It seemed the older Gavin had finally lost his mind, but of course, Klavier knew better.
Kristoph had been taunting him, even while on the stand accused of murder. He knew exactly which buttons to press, and Klavier had almost fallen for it. But Kristoph had lost sight of what was important, and Klavier had promised himself that he would never follow his brother's mistakes.
The German prosecutor sat on the sidewalk outside the courthouse, not caring that this would clearly throw off his rockstar image. He sat there in silence for a moment, reminiscing, when he heard a familiar crunching behind him.
"Was wünschen Sie, Fräulein Detektiv?" he muttered in his native tongue, not bothering to even look up at her.
"If you expect an answer, you ought to speak English, Gavin." Ema Skye answered. "I was going to say congratulations, though you probably don't think you deserve it." She continued to devour her snackoos.
"Congratulations for what, may I ask?" he looked up at her slowly, and the science-obsessed detective could tell that he was less than thrilled with being congratulated on losing. It surprised her that the ever calm prosecutor was losing his cool now. And in front of her, no less.
She placed the snackoo that she had been about to eat back and replaced the snackoos in her bag of supplies. "Defeating your brother."
"Come again, Fräulein?"
Ema shrugged casually. "Do you really think that Justice kid could have defeated Ex-Defense Attorney Kristoph Gavin without your help? You sacrificed everything in there to see your brother brought to justice, or at least that's how it appeared." She sat down on the sidewalk beside him, knowing she would likely regret it, but the "glimmerous fop" wasn't being quite as...glimmerous as usual.
The German prosecutor said nothing, so she continued. "If you want to sit here and pout, be my guest." He gave her an offended look and she grinned. "Though you might not want to be sitting out here when they drag Kristoph out kicking and screaming."
Klavier sighed. "Ja, it won't be any different than before, Fräulein, he'll just be spending more time in Cell 13."
"Oh?" Ema responded with a grin, twirling a strand of hair between her thumb and index finger. "I highly doubt that."
"Why?"
The female detective stood up again, prepared to leave. "You'll have to ask Mr. Gavin himself when he's reached his...destination."
Klavier's eyes narrowed. "Fräulein Detektiv, are you keeping something from me?"
"Let's just say...Mr. Gavin is a lost cause, and now everyone knows it. They obviously can't put him back in normal prison."
The younger Gavin gave her a look that clearly stated he was annoyed with her withholding information from him. Ema figeted with her pink glasses for a moment before sliding them down over her eyes.
"Scientfic analysis shows your brother is insane."
