This is a story about Fred's Funeral and about how everyone mourned. It was going to be about how everybody ends up being brought back to life after the last body was buried but I liked the way I ended the first part so much I'm just going to stop there and maybe write a different part some other time.

Fighting with Yourself

It was a dreary day which complimented the scenario perfectly. The Weasleys all walked to the front and took a seat accompanied by Hermione and Harry. Other family members and family friends also joined the occasion but kept quite except to tell the Weasleys how sorry they were for their loss. Nobody even try to talk to George, he was inconsolable. He stared forward at the casket willing it to disappear. He had yet to move along the 5 stages of grief and still stayed at denial. He thought that if he denied it long enough it eventually wouldn't be true. Bill, Charlie and Percy felt horrible. They spent so much time with work that they rarely came home to visit the family and neither of them had enough time with Fred. Ginny and Ron comforted each other. They had both lost an older brother; one that made them laugh, cry, smile and sometimes even vomit. George was still there to do all those things but it seemed when Fred died, George died with him. Arthur was so quite it was almost like he wasn't there except for the comforting arm that was draped over Molly's shoulder. Arthur never noticed the boys enough. He never acknowledged how clever the twins were, how smart they really were. Molly just felt hollow, and continued to argue with herself about how many times she scolded the boys for pulling some stupid pranks, she felt guilty as well. Altogether, none of the Weasleys guilt could compare to Harry's. Fred died in the war meant for Harry. Harry never tried telling anyone about this knowing that they would just shoot this idea done but fearing they felt the same way. Hermione just wished she wasn't such a prat during the school year and let them get away with their pranks more often.

It was silly to mourn a single death when so many died that day, or over the course of the war. For all the people who died or life was altered by the cause. Remus, Lupin, Nymphadora, Moony, Dobby, Hedwig, Teddy Tonks, Sirius, James, Lily, Snape, Dumbledore, Lavender, Colin and so many more friends. By the end of the war, a sick thought entered Harry's mind which he evacuated quickly. We should just have a mass grave and just get it over with. After the war, with so many deaths, Harry entered a state of darkness. After all, having the weight of the wizarding world on your shoulder for your entire life is not an easy thing.

The ceremony went quickly. Each Weasley member was asked to say something although only 5 of them agreed. If Georg e said anything, it would be agreeing he was dead. Both Ginny and Ron just had no idea what to say and were both emotional wrecks. They lowered the coffin into the ground and a solemn song played throughout the air. People left with their souls feeling a little bit lighter.

It was the last body that would have to be buried and that calmed them, but inside they still were each fighting battles against themselves.
