In which Mikasa is set up with a series of boys on blind dates to prove her heterosexuality
"I'm straight."
The blonde blinked up at the raven-haired girl, her blue eyes frowning ever so slightly at the other's seemingly unwavering words.
Another girl, tall with freckles and tanned skin snickered, "Ha! That's priceless, Mikasa. You lost your virginity to a girl!"
"That was a one time fling." Mikasa explained patiently, her fingers twirling absent-mindedly at the edge of her blood red scarf.
The tall one rolled her eyes, "You wrote poem to her… poems!" She shook her head, cat-like eyes exasperated but obviously amused.
"I was young-"
"- and you always had that dumb look on your face-"
"-my hairstyle back then was short-"
"-you refused to so much look at blondes after her-"
"-their hair is too shiny-"
"-for God's sake, you used to throw-up every time you looked at Christa in the eye because the shade was similar-"
"-that was-"
"-just admit it already-"
"-I am not-"
"-you are-"
"-les (lesbian)." The two finished off together, one smirking triumphantly, and the other with cool determination that was slowly crumbling into a dark, sinister aura.
Christa Renz sighed and sunk into a fluffy armchair, frowning at her lover and Mikasa, who glowered ominously at Ymir.
Ymir, on the other hand, leered victoriously back at the girl, refusing to succumb to the glare that would force a dozen grown men into tears.
The coal-eyed oriental gave up without much of a fight and pulled her scarf up to her nose, hiding the disturbed expression that most people would not even notice.
Mikasa Ackerman was 23, a genius who established her company at the young age of eighteen, and (doubtfully) straight.
Although her first time had been with a pretty German girl with a rather cold air about her and a Godly shaped nose, it was nothing but a fling (it was totally Mikasa's first love) and she wasn't serious about it at all (liar). The only reason she refused to date for two years after that was purely because Mikasa was busy (with heart-break recovery). It was also true that she had her second fling with a girl, though the girl was just a moment of misjudgment (yup, the time Mikasa spent buying gifts and tiny anonymous surprises and the months that she spent staring at her in the cafeteria was definitely not because she liked her) and the fact that she refused to touch potatoes after their relationship ended also had nothing to do with her.
There was this also one time when Mikasa spent several months at the house of a nice, soft-spoken office lady, and she was absolutely unfazed when the office lady decided to transfer to a different country, which really did not affect Mikasa's decision to study abroad.
Let's not forget this one summer with this semi-crazy scientist, ah, of course, that didn't have to do with the fact that the scientist had looked like potato-girl… and they totally didn't break up because she was potato-girl's cousin.
That's right, Mikasa Ackerman is absolutely, completely and utterly, one hundred percent straight.
"Well… you could… go on my blind dates for me, Mikasa." Christa smiled kindly (and Mikasa's heart did not just skip a beat), "I do already have somebody I love." The girl turned her dazzling beam to her lover and kissed Ymir on the lips, who accepted graciously (that sound just now was not Mikasa's heart cracking).
"I will! I'll go to all of them! Please allow me to!"
And that… was how the heterosexual genius beauty, Mikasa Ackerman, started her journey looking for a man (for once).
