When Scorpius Malfoy had thought about Rose Weasley he saw those big, blue eyes, bushy red hair and a concentrated face if she was reading another book or studying. She was mousey, tended to be dull, a know-it-all...
But this had changed somehow, to be exact, on the day of their return to Hogwarts for their final year. He had been sitting in a compartment, waiting for his friends to arrive, when she had walked past the door. Time seemed to have slowed down as she passed, turning her head slightly to shoot a piercing glance at him which send shivers down his spine.
It was as if she had changed completely over the summer, but he was sure that he had just been to blind to see that she had grown up. Her figure was more feminine, she had cut her ginger hair so it was curling down to her chin and she wore make-up that highlighted her blue eyes and her sweet lips.
And as the year progressed and they involved into their usual fights about little things, he started to realise something, something that always had been there, just as her outstanding beauty.
Rose Weasley had a little flame inside of her – her hair represented this flame on the outside and when her temper took over, he was sure that she was fire! After some 'experiments' Scorpius came to the conclusion that this little flame just needed to be provoked a bit before it rose to become a grown fire.
She was a flaming beauty and he felt determined to elicit it ever so often, enjoying the sight of her façade melting away. It was as if he wanted to show her how much he admired this side of her, in his own wicked way.
And hell, how he loved to put fuel onto this little flame.
