Prompt 25: Stars; Prompt 52: Shadows and Prompt 60: Starter Sentence

Prompt: "His spirit had been the wood to _'s inner spark. All he had left. And now that he was gone, _ had nothing."

His spirit had been the wood to Maedhros' inner fire. All he had left. And now that he was gone, Maedhros had nothing. Once he had seen light when looking up at the sky. Now he only saw the shadows that the distant stars could never hope to fill in.

Maglor worried for him. He wasn't stupid; he knew this. Deep in his heart, he knew that should at least try; try for those who still drew breath and care for him, but he couldn't. Maedhros simply could not fill the empty space that Fingon had left in his heart, just as the star would never be able to fully chase away the shadows. Where there is light, there is always shadow.
