"I had fun today," Red said. "With you."

Yellow's pulse raced. He was smiling, his ruby eyes glinting in the golden light of the fading sun. They had spent the day together, just the two of them. It may not have been a date, but her heart was doing flips with every passing minute.

"So did I," she said.

The forest around them and the sunset lighting the sky up in a rainbow of colors created a beautiful scene. A light breeze flew by just then, making a strand of her golden blonde hair fall into her eyes.

He lifted his hand and gently brushed it behind her ear, cupping his hand on her cheek. He started to lean closer.

If it were possible, her heart thumped even faster in her ribcage. He was taller than her and was leaning down, slowly closing the gap between them. She closed her eyes as their lips met.

She had never been kissed before, so she wasn't sure what to expect. It was just an innocent kiss, but it was sweet. She wasn't sure if he had ever been kissed before, but from what she knew, he hadn't.

Him kissing her showed her that anything could be possible. That maybe he did love her the way she loved him. That maybe he looked past all the faults she thought she had, and liked her for who she was.

She was blushing madly, but that didn't matter to her. She felt as though she could live in that moment and be happy forever. All she ever needed was him.

And three wonderful years later she remembered that kiss as she shared another with the same boy, although this time, they stood at an altar, everyone around them in fancy clothing. It was another first kiss for them, but it was their first kiss as husband and wife.

"Got it!" Blue, the maid of honor, exclaimed, holding up a camera proudly.

"Pesky girl…" Green, the best man, grumbled. "You always manage to interrupt their kisses."

Blue shrugged. "Eh, so what if I was spying on them the day that they first kissed?"

But the newlyweds paid no attention to that.

They just shared a kiss, remembering the way their first changed the course of their lives.
