What do you know? I found this poem in the back of my English book so I typed it up in between doing my assignment. I wrote it while trying to understand my teacher. I could understand the English sentences so I'd write down the Japanese version of the sentence instead of the English one to learn it the other way.

My English teacher asked me to be an English tutor. Otousan thinks I should accept, but I can't understand the Japanese!!! And university isn't all that easy yet alone trying to help someone else!

Oh yeah! I got into a University! Yay!

Onto the poem!

Little Brother

I'm sorry

My little brother

I didn't notice your pain

-

I'm sorry

My little brother

You had to suffer in my shadow

-

I'm sorry

My little brother

I was oblivious to your anger

-

I'm sorry

My little brother

That I couldn't do anything about it.

-

I wish I could have done more

Held you close

Help you with your dream

-

I hoped that I could see you

and you wouldn't accept the offer

to join St Rudolph's gakuen

-

But that isn't all,

My little brother

-

I wanted to see you smile,

like you did in elementary school

-

I wanted to watch you laugh

just like you used to laugh at Yumiko's first boyfriend

-

I wanted you to play with me

Just the way we used to play at the park or the tennis courts

back when we were kids

-

I defeated Jirou Akutagawa

Did you watch me play?

-

He defeated you and I was so angry

I couldn't help but play him seriously.

Kind of.

-

But my little brother,

why won't you come home?

-

Okaasan misses you.

Yumiko misses you.

I miss you.

-

Won't you come home,

My little brother?

It's short and very sappy. I know.

I really liked this poem. It's interesting to think about how Yuuta would feel getting this.

Okay, now see the pretty purple button?

Press it. I dare you.

Review please!!!
