Author Notes: Just a little Raph on Leo piece. Hope you guys like it. Sorry for the lame shortness of it!
I'll Deny
Leonardo sometimes sings.
I'd never admit it to him, but I like it when he does. It reminds me of when we were younger. When we didn't seem to hate the very site of each other. He use to sing alot when we were kids, and all of us liked it. Mike still sometimes will ask him to sing a certain song. Usually if I'm in the room, he declines.
I know he usually makes it up to him later. Mike goes directly into Leo's room when he has a nightmare or we have a rough run. I see him beeline in there with his pillow and blanket. Leo usually keeps his door open, so he can hear us if we're having problems, or if someone's trying to get inside the lair. I know theres a song he sings to Mike on those nights that put him to sleep, I've seen Mike sleeping on the floor of his room before.
Sometimes, when Leo doesn't think we're listening to him, he still sings quietly to himself. It's a soothing sound, and I like it when I catch him doing it. I think he does it sometimes, to help himself relax, and he's unwillingly relaxing us right along with him.
I'll deny everything if it's ever mentioned though.
Leo and I fight, all the time. However, he's still my older brother. I don't hate him, I hope he knows that. After all that we've said to each other, he usually backs down first, and I'm declared the winner of the fight. However, in the deepest darkest part of the night, If I could get past my own pride, I'd probably curl up in his room after nightmares too.
And I've had some bad ones.
I know Leo wouldn't turn me away. He'd let me sleep in his room, and he'd try and chase the bad dreams away. I pick at him all the time, but he's still my big brother, and in some ways, he's still going to be invincable to me.
I don't mean that in the superman kind of way. He's certainly not made of steel, I've seen him bleed, and I've even seen him cry. He holds that certain degree of invincability though, because he can always make the bad stop. Mike's always been the comedian, quick to lighten the mood with a joke, or a story. Don's always been our patient smart brother. Usually people confide in Don, but if it's about the fights, or anything related to Ninjitsu, that's Leo's realm.
He probably doesn't get credit for that either.
Again, I'll deny that was ever said.
He's in the kitchen, and I can hear him singing quietly, and the oddest thing happens to me. I suddenly feel like maybe the day won't be so bad.
Go figure.
