Disclaimer: sadly, Full Metal Panic doesn't belong to me...now I'm officially depressed!!
This is my first fan fic so plz be kind to me! Plz leave me your opinion of it so far!!
It was yet another tiring morning, starting with an early wake-up call from the fire alarm going off in my apartment .
"...uh...and once again, I get the honor of beating the living daylights out of Sousuke." I sighed, still wanting to stay in bed, but knew it was positively my fault that he set off another smoke grenade in my home. He was probably thinking it was going to protect me from something that he believed could cause me harm.
Still pondering on his most likely pathetic reasons, I got out of bed finally to see where he was hiding in MY house and apologize to all my neighbors in our complex once they awoke or if they are already awake.
"Sousuke? ...SOUSUKE?!" I screeched, waiting for his reply through all the gray smoke that filled my house. 'I know you are somewhere around here, Sousuke. Why don't you just give up and show yourself?' I thought while trying to see through the fogginess.
"Yes, Miss Chidori?" Sousuke asked when he suddenly appeared in front of me. "If you keep on yelling like that, you might wake some of the neighbors..." Sousuke had seen my enraged expression and began to fear for his safety, or at least, that's what I saw written on his face before he backed away into the smoke, using it to protect himself from my soon to come outburst.
"Oh! Don't you go run and hide like a big coward now, Sousuke!" I said in a harsher tone than I attempted to, but at the mention of coward he appeared, as if all the fear was wiped off his face, no matter how mean I said it. For some reason, he looked hurt and almost angry, but I didn't flinch or back down one bit, although that face should have been warning enough. "...Why don't you have the tiniest bit of commonsense? Don't you know that you were the one that probably woke everyone in the building!? If that was your goal, then 'good job'!! You succeeded in pissing me off!!" I yelled at him.
He got a really depressing aura around him, "I deeply apologize Miss Chidori. I now understand how I was mistaken, but I was trying to make sure you were safe before I left. I don't want a fire to begin once I'm gone due to my latest mission. Don't forget that it is still my main mission to protect your life. So, if something happens, even when I am away, it will still be my responsibility."
'What?...he's leaving me again? ...But...for how long? Sousuke...why didn't you tell me earlier?' I rapidly thought. He just stared at the wall of the hallway as if it was teaching him something he had to know.
I sighed loudly, "What do they need you for this time?" I was trying to hide my anger, but that didn't work very well.
"I must protect the captain for a couple days. Rumor has it that some organization is going to attempt an assassination of her tomorrow. We don't want her to be hurt or killed, so I was ordered last night to be in the submarine by 10:00 this morning and not to be late.
