Now that we have that out of the way I would like to announce that this is my first story. Where others might ask for leniency and for you to cut them some slack, I want you people to point out any and all mistakes I may make. Now if you could do it ina
constructive way than that would be great. But all feedback is good.
It was over in a few seconds. Her shotgun collapsed down as she put it on her back.
She turned to face her rescuers. They were an odd bunch, a human male with a Mantis sniper rifle, a turian, and a human female.
They all stood there in awkward silence as the human male started looting the bodies.
Tali could barely hear the man as he mumbled.
"No, no, no, why do Salarians never have anything good?"
The turian apparently had enough, as he strolled over and poked the man in the back. "Shepard! The Quarian."
The man who I now knew was named "Shepard" spun around and with a few steps was in my face.
"My name is Tali. Thank you for.."
*Tap*
I stood there in shock as this man started to poke my mask.
"Excuse me! Don't touch my mask you Bosh'tet!"
*Tap*
The nerve of this man was unbelievable. After several attempts to get him to stop tapping on my mask. I pulled out my gun.
"Listen here, if you don't stop touching my mask, I will shoot you."
"Bet"
"What?"
"You won't"
"Yes I will!"
"No you won't, first off, the safety's on. Secondly and most importantly, I'd have to kill you. That would put a damper on both of our days."
I don't know how he managed to say that in such a happy voice.
"Fine. Please stop tapping the glass."
"Ok."
*Tap*
That's how I met the most dangerous, infuriating, and adorable man I have ever known.
It was pure chaos even before the SSV Normandy entered the fray.
The sleek ship charged forward into the foul alien ships. It's forward batteries bombarded the enemy's flagship.
The inside of the alien dreadnought was possibly even worse than the outside.
"We have hull breaches on levels 2-6, and our reactor is heavily damaged."
"Close the blast doors! I want this ship sealed. Get me a firing solution on the Normandy!"
"Sir! We have several ships locked on us!"
"Prepare to fire off the starboard thrusters. I don't want anything else touching my ship."
"Capitan. I have the firing solution."
"Good, fire when ready."
To the mass disappointment of those aboard the dreadnought. The Normandy was to fast and was able to avoid their rounds.
"Shepard?"
Shepard threw a blanket over his desk with a surge of biotic power.
"What were you doing?"
Shepard looked at Tali before adverting his eyes and rubbing the back of his neck.
"Nothing."
Tali looked on with disbelief. The mighty Commander Shepard, hero of the SSV, and first human Specter. Was playing with toy ships.
"So that's why you spent so much time at the Citadel gift shop. You needed new toys."
"Tali. They aren't toys, they are models! And I wouldn't need them if Anderson would have let me have a fish tank in here."
"Shepard, you know damn well why you can't have a fish tank."
*Tap*
"Don't try to change the subject Shepard!"
