"You're bi, aren't you." What should've been a simple question came out more like an accusation.

She stepped back, but her smile didn't waver. "Y-yes I am. Why are you asking?" Bandit shoved her book in her backpack. Continuing one of her ever handy Immortal Instruments books would have to wait for later.

The girl smirked and shifted her wait to one leg. "No reason. Just curious."

Aren't we all.

This morning should've started like any other day. Bandit should have done the usual morning affair and gone to school, no questions asked.

But it didn't.

This morning she jolted into s sitting position, with fear and pain visible in her eyes. She groaned and fell back on her pillow.

Fuck, this was not supposed to happen. She was usually expertise in the art of hiding everything. Bandit glanced around at her blue sea of a room. So many memories, she thought. But why now all of the sudden was she bothering to take the time to do this? She wasn't too fond of Memory Lane. Her past wasn't exactly fun to flip through.

Her phone buzzed underneath her pillow, signaling another text from her friends. She hoped one was from Rider. Wait, stop. You guys aren't even on speaking terms in your head. He's not even thinking of you. At least, not in the way you want him to.

This was how it always had been. One person after another, fucking with her feelings, and each time she never learned, always came back ready for the next. Always positive, even when fucked over.

Bandit realized that at some point she had to make it known that she was up. She couldn't hide from the day. She'd tried that already, and it didn't work out as well as she'd planned.

Reluctantly, she pulled herself out of bed, showered, blew dry and straightened, and stood in front of the mirror just staring at her reflection while holding her shirt up to reveal her stomach, willing it to look different. Model-like. Or what Derek Sanders would approve of. But it didn't. At least not now. A long time ago she did. She'd felt like a million bucks when most of the baby weight she'd carried around melted off over the summer. Now she'd gained back 20 pounds and felt like crap whenever she pulled on a pair of jeans that used to be loose on her and were tight.

Whatever, the day was waiting.
