"I can't be him Aki!" she yells through her tears "I tried, I tried so hard to fill that space he left".
Minako starts to shake, her head now held low she refuses to make eye contact with him.
"I..." Aki utters "I..".
"I can't do this anymore" she confided "I thought that maybe, just maybe I could fill that space he left like you had filled the space for me". She sniffs wiping away her tears.
"We keep losing people we care about and I just wanted one thing that wouldn't die"
"Minako..."
"Stupid aren't I thinking you'd never die, did I really think so highly of you, maybe maybe" she begins to turn away and whispers "I loved you.. both of you".
Akihiko tries to reach forward to grab her arm to tell her he's sorry but he can't he's held back back the darkness, by the shadows.
"I'll finish this, i'll finish Nyx and then" she pauses before gaining courage "I'll see you again" the soft words are the last he hears before he finds himself in the hospital.
Its April 5th and he's alone, the dark hour seemed to have been destroyed but his friends hadn't come back. Did they win, did she win? Minako...
He'd been reckless, got himself injured and now they were gone. She was gone. He was completely and utterly alone.
