I walked down the lonely forest path my thoughts wandering. "I should be dead" I thought out loud. "No Heihachi, you shouldn't." the low voice of Kyuzo said from behind me. I wheeled around to see nothing there. "What? Kyuzo-dono? Where are you?" I said quietly. The tall blonde haired man was no where to be seen. "Heihachi, you came back from the dead...I am just a ghost. But heed my warning, do not wish for death." I dropped to the ground. "How could you die?! You were my best friend!" I sobbed though I knew he wouldn't answer. I climbed up a tree to watch the sun set which I would normally do with Kyuzo but I guess since we both died and only I came back that would never happen again.

A short figure walked slowly past my tree, definately off guard. I looked closer to see the greenish blackish hair of Katsu-kun. I dug around in my pockets to find something to throw. Just to practice my aim! I pulled out a good sized piece of metal and took aim and then threw. THUNK! Square in the forehead! "Ouch! Who did that?!" He screamed jumping around wildly. He finally spotted me and shouted "Heihachi-dono! How could you do something this low?! That hardly lives up to the samurai name! How do you even call yourself a samurai?!" I was laughing too hard to here the rest of his speech. "Ha ha ha ha ha" I fell off my branch and crashed into the ground. Katsuchiro glared as he slid his sword out it's sheath.I picked myself up and broke into a run. "Katsuchiro-kun don't kill me!" I yelled, tripping on a tree and samurai alike stopped their work to watch my fiasco. My luck of open areas ran out I was trapped in a corner and out of luck. Katsuchiro raised his sword, ignoring the villagers' and samurais' shouts, ready for the strike. "Katsuchiro! Stop this now!" Shichiroji yelled trying to grab his arm. Katsuchiro just shook off the arm and raised his sword higher. "Don't you dare throw anything at me ever again!"He yelled, sliding his sword back into it's I could do was nod and crawl away back to my tree in the woods.

Now I only watched the stars pop up, footsteps tapped behind me. I turned to see Kyuzo or maybe more accurately his ghost. "Heihachi, that was funny. I'm glad he didn't hurt you. He wouldn't do it anyway but still..." Kyuzo's voice echoed as if there was no body behind it. "I had fun... but I have a question for you." Kyuzo looked up a moment and in a blink of an eye he was sitting next to me, looking deep into my squinting eyes. "Lay it on me." I looked away and stared at the moon. "How-how did you die?" I turned to look at him but he had looked away. "Katsuchiro. Shot me." I closed my eyes fully and nodded. "Now I don't feel as bad for hitting him with that rock." I said and turned around and giggled. My laugh subsided quick because Kyuzo wasn't there."He always comforts me and then leaves me." I said quietly, leaning on the tree when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Kyuzo...You really aren't dead?" I asked more than said. Kyuzo just sighed and ruffled my hat."Not as long as your not dead." Kyuzo said smiling kindly and I'm proud to sat I'm the only person who has seen him smile this way! I look up to Kyuzo as a brother and friend. I'm glad he's not dead.I fell asleep in that darn tree in Kyuzo's night he stared out into the night, whatever he was thinking was a total mystery to me though.I have finally found someone who I can relate to, a traitor to his friends and death.I really think he is the closest thing to family I have ever had...I would be satisfied just to stay in his arms forever even if it caused my death.

Disclaimer! I do not own Samurai 7...If I did Heihachi and Kyuzo would not have died.
