It'd been a long evening for the tourists and residents of New York City, it was early April and the snow continued to drift down; sticking to whatever it landed on. The snowfall wasn't welcomed, yet, it still brought ease to many...
Hector Peabody stood infront of his living-room window, being the biggest window in his penthouse; it obviously gave off the best view. He observed the crowded streets with his arms folded behind his back and the evening skies overhead. His eyes darted from person to person, from pointing to hugging and storming off to crying. This somehow brought Peabody ease.. the drama, romance, curosity, wonder, and rage.. it's what made New York so magical. Who knew that a small state could contain so many emotions at once?
Suddenly, Peabody's thoughts were interrupted! He'd heard some heavy footsteps coming from the kitchen, the beagle smiled. It was most likely Sherman, who'd been doing his homework for the past forty-five minutes. Which was a tad longer than usual, he must of been thinking about the "trip" he promised. His steps were quick, meaning he probably just finished it.
"Hey!" exclaimed Sherman, running in and rushing down the stairs. "Whatcha doing?" he skid to a stop, looking out the giant window. "...Oh, nothing, my boy." the beagle began, turning towards the youngster. "Just thinking about how lively it is today, the view is also.. ahem, pretty fantastic." Peabody chuckled, "Are you all finished up with your homework?" Sherman nodded excitedly, "Yup! I got it done as quickly as I could!" the genius smiled warmly, "You sound excited about our upcoming "trip"." The redhead rolled on his heels, "You bet I am! .. So, where are we going?"
"Outside." he answered, walking towards kitchen. "What? Outside?" the boy asked, following his dad. "Why? Did something happen?" he frowned in confusion. Peabody grabbed Sherman's coat and stopped infront the elevator, "No, of course not." he assured him, who just drew his eyebrows together in confusion. "Oh, ok ..?" the genius frowned, looking back at Sherman. "Why are you so confused? We've gone out before, we're you expecting something else?" Peabody slowly held out his coat, "Well, yeah. Usually when you say trips, you mean the WABAC and all!" Sherman stared at his father for a moment, before taking his coat and smiling. "..But, that's okay! I don't mind, . As long as you're with me and stuff!" he slid on his coat and zipped it up.
Peabody felt his heart flutter, he smiled warmly and gave his shoulder a pat. "Splended! Let's go."
