2. Kissing In Public

Karma looks at Amy with a slight grin as the crowd around them chants for a kiss. Amy flashes her best friend a weak smile as she watches Karma lean close, frozen because of her internal battle. Soon Karma is practically leaning on her, giving her a confused look before Amy gave in to her want and moved the rest of the distance to connect their lips. Amy wanted to gasp as she felt her stomach flip with the spark that she had only felt during their Homecoming announcement kiss. She didn't hear the crowd's chants become cheers, didn't see their excitement. And she didn't care. She didn't care about the fear of being outed on her feelings she had for her best friend, or the fear of what Karma would do if she found out Amy wasn't necessarily faking it. She let herself think that this was real, that they weren't faking it, that they were together, that she wasn't confused. In that moment it was only them. Only Karma. Only dreams.

The kiss was over too soon for Amy, as once again, Karma broke the kiss and gave Amy that beautiful smile that made her feel light headed. Karma placed her hand on Amy's lap and started to talk to her about some idle thing as the crowd started to disperse. Once the crowd was gone, Karma removed her hand and laid down on their little blanket, staring at the sky, the two of them falling into comfortable silence. The silence, as nice as it was, was ringing in Amy's ears. With the end of the kiss, her mind continued to nag her on her fears, making her elation shortly lived.

Amy just hope that one day, before Karma got too wrapped up in the lie, before the fell for Liam, that they could be together. That they could not be faking it.
