I just have to see her one more time and I'll quit her forever.

The Doctor loved his friends. All of them, but sometimes he missed the ones he could never see again. He missed them all, all the time, maybe if he just saw them one more time before they knew who he was, maybe just maybe it can bring him closure. That's what humans do right?

After traveling to see Queen Victoria with Clara and returning her back to her home, he was feeling nostalgic. They saw her before old Vicky hated him and declared Torchwood on him and it made him think of Rose.

Rose, his favorite blonde, the most ordinary girl he had ever met. The extraordinary girl who changed his life. If only he could see her one more time.

Wait, he could, he had a time traveling box and a different face. There weren't any rules on seeing your companions before they were your companions!

That's it! He had to go back to 2003, high school Rose, and see her shining face.

**TARDIS NOISE** *insert doctor who theme song here*

2003, ah yes, now how was he going to see her? Just a glance of her smiling would be enough. He started walking towards her flat when a bus full of school kids nearly ran him over.

That was the answer!

"Yes I am a certified tutor personal," he flashes his psychic paper to her, "Yes I am! Do you need a tutor, Rose Tyler?"

"How do you know my name?" She asked taken aback while her friends were trying to convince her to leave school early.

"I, erm, read your records, yes, that is how I know you are doing terribly in your studies."

"I'm not doing that bad.. well I could use some help on my history…"

"Great! I'm the Doct- erm- Doctor Smith, yes Doctor Smith, Rose Tyler, nice to meet you."

After she attended all her classes, they sat at a table in one of the study rooms while he chatted away at being an expert in nearly everything.

"If you're so smart, then why are you a tutor at a high school?" Rose said with a flirty grin.

"To help you lot out of course." The Doctor added while returning the smile.

"Right then. Well what is so special about this Marie Antoinette? What's so great that I have to take an exam about her?" She added with a grimace.

"Nettie, as I like to call her, was great fun at parties. You know one time me and her-"

"You and her?"

"No erm, she was a great gal, had some problems, but what I've read was.." and the Doctor went on and on talking about the things he's "read" about Marie Antoinette. They spent the later part of the afternoon talking and laughing like they did this everyday.

She innocently flirted and he tried to impress her with his knowledge; just like old times. Well future times for Rose.

"Thank you Dr. Smith, but none of this will help me on the exam," She expressed sadly. "there's no use, I'm going to fail." Rose slumped down in her seat feeling defeated, "I fail at everything, I'm just going to end up working in a shop."

"Rose Tyler let me tell you something," he paused. He wanted to say something, to tell her the things he was never able to say before she was ripped out of his grasps in the Torchwood Headquarters. "You are spectacular, and you're going to have an amazing life, I promise," he said while leaning in his seat.

"You think so Doctor?" she leaned in as well, locking their eyes on each other.

She called him by his name without her even knowing it. He wanted to show her the world right then and there, but he knew that was impossible.

"I know so." He stood up without breaking eye contact and kissed her on the forehead. "See you around, Rose.' he said and walked away.

"So what did you do while I was gone?" Clara said while walking into the TARDIS.

"Visited an old friend." The Doctor answered with a smile.
