Dean's enraged cursing filled the Impala, demanding terrible torments and dire diseases befall their scratch card thief. Sam sat quietly, unconcerned about the stack of winning cards Bella stole. Thinking instead about the woman herself, particularly her repeated impact on Dean.
Bella had the unnerving ability to nudge Dean to the brink of insanity. Whenever they occupied the same space, the air crackled almost audibly. Their verbal sparring thrummed with a scorching physical undercurrent, they both tightened like drum skins around one another.
Theoretically, it's an extremely fine line separating love and hate. Glancing at his furious brother, Sam wondered...?
