Blue Exorcist Fanfiction ~ The Power of an Angel

Summary

After Rin's fight with Amaimon, everyone discovers Rin's heritage. Rin starts to become depressed, but learns to accept it and adapts to the loneliness. He begins to pray to God, his only comfort, to remove some of the loneliness. But one day when Rin is praying, he gets a response…. Follow Rin as he learns to use his powers for how they were first intended.

After all, Satan was an angel before he became the devil.

Chapter 1 ~ What's done is done

Rin's POV

He wanted to hurt her, hurt them; I couldn't … no … wouldn't let that happen.

I felt rage take over, it flowed through my veins like lava, slowly consuming my entire being. A nearly unbearable burning sensation took hold of my body and before I knew it I was covered in intense blue flames.

The flames of Satan, the flames that brought me so much pain, the flames I hate so much but are a part of me.

I didn't care that I was using the flames that I had been told so many times to not use. I knew there was a chance of the Exwires seeing me, but they were my friends. They wouldn't turn on me, right?

I subconsciously unsheathed the Kurikara and felt more rage and power consume.

I turned to face Amaimon, my focus solely on him, all others fading into an insignificant background noise although I just could hear the small female voice in the background telling me to get my flames under control (A/N can anyone guess who the voice is?). A scowl covered my face a I watched Amaimon play with Shiemi, her usually bright emerald eyes had dulled as Amaimon took forced control over her. His sharp nails wafted slowly through her golden silky hair as he made her sit on his lap.

I couldn't take it any longer and charged at him.

Amaimon moved out of the way so fast I could barly trace him. He moved Shiemi out of the way and said excited

'I'm so bored little brother, are you ready to play now?'

We engaged in combat

COMBAT SCENE

'I finally managed to defeat Amaimon' I said tiredly before I gave into the dark.

Shiemi POV

I slowly got up and found myself in the middle of a dark forest. I can't remember how I got here. The last thing I remember was me and the Exwires finishing the exorcist exercise that Yukio-kun and Shura-san gave us, then I walked a bit too far from the rest of the group.

Just as I was about to give up searching for the others, I saw a bright blue light shining through some trees. Beliving that the light was a flashlight, I blindly ran towards it shouting for help.

What I saw changed my view of Rin forever.
