" God almighty!" cried Burt as one huge graboid shot through the floor of Valentines tool shed, "This bastard thing wont stop, unless we blow it to hell! " The shed shook and trembled as the beast rattled it ferociously. Just then help arrived, it was spiderman, and Mindy and she came armed and loaded. She looked like Burt's survivalist poster, and Ronda giggled when she saw how Mindy was dressed. Burt was proud. She looked just like him, armed to the nines and dangerous. "Damn! Damn Im proud of that girl!" thought Burt and Ronda at the same time, while Burt gushed over Mindy, She loaded a remote tank, and sent it out to kill the beast...the super digger. What was worse, the new super digger graboid had somehow crossbred with a regular graboid, and now the damn things are twice as long, stronger, and faster.
Burt and the others watched as Mindy guided the tank into position, and let it rip, she opened the throttle and the mini terror tank zipped across the ground, and it caught the graboid's attention. She drove it with the beast sailing behind it, and finally it swallowed the tank, and Mindy quickly detonated it. "One down, another one to go." Spiderman split as soon as he realized that Mindy, Burt, Heather, Ronda, Valentine, Earl, and Kate were all crazy as hell for taking on these beasts by themselves, WITHOUT the damn military! "These people are nuts! I am outta here!" barked Peter Parker as he took the car and hit the highway heading into Bixby, and then out to the main highway to head back to New York. "This is gonna be one hell of a human intrest piece if Jameson will allow it." And he drove until he was damn sure he was out of Nevada. Back in Perfection, Nancy was helping Jodi and Jack with some 'graboid hunters grub' for the crowd that will be coming sooner and hopefully not later. First ones to show up was Heather, Kate, and Pepper. Followed by Earl and Thor. They were exhausted, goo covered and bloody.
"What the hell happened over in the great rock flats?" Exclaimed Jodi and Nancy all at once. Earl and Thor both popped open a beer, and took a long drink. Kate was excited, she had never before witnessed graboids having sex! She took pictures and got video with audio. "Somethings are just more interesting Earl, sweetheart. " Said Kate as she opened her diet coke and took a swallow. Jodi brought over some ham, ribs and chicken to eat. Nancy brought over potatoes and salad. and Jack brought over the dinner rolls. Everyone dished up and kept an eye out for Burt, Tony, Val, Ronda, and Mindy. Heather told them about how her and the guys dug a big pit and got those damn screechers in there, and roasted them to ashes. And at the rock flats, it was a 'turkey shoot' so to speak. Pepper had driven her little tank of death to kill off one graboid, and two screechers, and then an ass blaster showed up, and was just about to take off and Thor zapped him before he launched. Everyone looked pleased as if they were making some headway into killing off these damn graboids. Melvin had come in and was holding his walkie, "Val, Tony, Ronda, and Mindy are in deep trouble, the new super graboid is looking to pick them off at any second. They need some serious help." Everyone was too tired, and battle weary. The other avengers were out doing their own things, so it came down to calling some other friends...superheroes. So Pepper swallowed her soda and picked up her phone. After a few seconds she spoke "Hello, Diana? Its Pepper Stark, yes Tony's wife. We are having some big trouble in Perfection Valley. Could you and Bruce maybe come take a look and help us out?" After a few moments of talking, Pepper came back and said help is on the way, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are coming. Two from Metropolis, and one from Gotham City. Everyone looked around in suprise. "Where is Bruce Banner? He was supposed to help us with this problem." Said Nancy, "I always wanted a big strong man to help me." Nancy blushed when she had some hot thoughts move through her head. She suppressed a giggle and smiled as Bruce walked in. Nancy brought him a cold Coke, and a plate of food. "Thank you Nancy sweetie." said Bruce as he dug in to the roasted chicken and duck, with stuffing and potatoes. Bruce was feeling a bit uneasy with the way Nancy was looking at him, but she was an attractive woman, and a damn good cook. He could use a woman like her to help him stay calm. So after he finished, he asked her out for a date. She smiled and accepted.
When superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman arrived, Thor met them with a humble bow and a pleasant greeting. He gave them the situation rundown that was happening about thirty five miles away at the salt flats, where Val, Ronda, Tony Stark,, Burt Gummer and Mindy were having serious problems with a super sized graboid. Things were not looking good. Superman listened closely and heard the commotion. He quickly got Wonder Woman and Batman and took off in that direction, Batman had room in his plane for a few passengers. When they arrived, Superman saw the stranded survivors atop a toolshed being shaken apart. So Superman lifted the tool shed up and carried it off to safety. Wonder Woman and Batman took a closer look at the beast under the ground. " Great Hera!" screamed Wonder Woman as the enormous beast shot out of the ground and almost grabbed her and Batman, Superman flew in quickly and caught it before it went back under ground. "How does things like this get so giant?!" asked superman as he took the thing into outerspace and launched it towards the sun.
When superman landed, he was met by Tony Stark, Burt, Mindy, and Ronda. "Where did you take that giant thing?" asked Burt. "I flung it towards the sun, and now I am gonna do a fly over and scan for more of those things." said Superman as he took to the sky. Wonder Woman and Batman took the survivors back into town and then returned to help with this problem. Superman called out the warning to stay off the ground, there were more of those beasts. "There are at least 22 more worms in this area, and there is another one about twelve miles away, and there is a huge nest there. We have to warn the others." What they didn't know was that Tony Stark had been listening to their conversations. He told the others about the worm count and the nest location. Travis, Mindy, Burt, and Grady went to take out the nest, but made a quick pit stop at Burt's place. Burt loaded up his helicopter and got a few more armaments just in case, and they loaded up and took off. "We did this once over in Africa, and we blew up a huge freaking nest and killed the queen graboid, and blew up her egg. That was fun!" Said an excited Travis to Mindy, as she chewed her gum and cleaned her nine milimeter automatic. Grady wasn't saying anything, he was gearing up for another fight, and to see how big of an explosion this guy was gonna make. "Maybe he'll make a crater.' thought Grady. "He almost made one in Mexico..." he let his thoughts trail off as Burt spoke up. "Dont worry guys, some of this came from my friend over in Africa, he said this will do the trick"
Just as Burt landed the helicopter, he noticed it was right in front of the nest cave! " JACKPOT!" hollered Burt and Travis. Burt manned the missiles and targeting system. the others picked off the screechers and a couple of ass blasters. "BOMBS AWAY!" was the war cry, as the missile pods unloaded their goodies into the awaiting cave. That damn thing exploded with a thunderous BOOM, and it could be heard all the way down into the valley. "What the HELL was that?!" Earl asked as he lifted himself up off the floor. Just then Kates walkie sounded off, it was Burt. "We took the nest out, by God, THAT DAMN THING EXPLODED! Now there is a damn crater where the cave was." Everyone cheered. So did Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman. The superhero trio rounded up the worms and disposed of them properly.
The town of Perfection Valley was safe once more, and life could go on as normal. Bruce and Nancy got married three days after the graboids were officially gone, and Mindy took a liking to Peter Parker, but only as a friend on facebook, she really had a crush on Travis, and they began dating with Nancy and Burt's premission of course. Three months later, they were married at Grady and Earl's Monster World. Bruce Wayne opened a new park near Perfection Valley, and even donated some money to the citizens to help repair graboid damage, and to live better. Clark and Diana Kent, donated some money to help Nancy and Bruce build a nursery, and a new pottery oven, and Wayne Enterprises built Travis and Mindy a new energy efficient home, and even helped build the town's reputation to become a tourist spot.
But...nothing stays quiet and gone forever. And we all know nothing is ever really gone, it takes a tiny overlook of a small detail, and boom a problem returns with a vengeance. No one bothered to look for graboid eggs elsewhere, and over behind the abandoned silver mine, a hot water spring was still flowing...and eggs were laid there, and new graboids were developing.
