It was a warm, sunny day.
A perfect day to be outside.
So was the host club, but boredom was their biggest enemy at that moment.
The king was trying to make up something to do, Kyouya was writing in a notebook , the twins were just goofing around, Mori was watching over the hyperactive loli shota and Haruhi was sitting in the grass, watching the clouds.
'Oh, come on! We have to enjoy this beautiful day in SOME way!' Tamaki said in his usual, dramatic way.
'I have NO idea.' Hikaru answered while he was teasing Haruhi.
'Just think, people! We can't be bored,' Tamaki pressed on, and then he turned to Hikaru. 'And get your hands of my daughter!'
'Let's play Hide and seek! Let's play hide and seek!' Honey shouted.
Kyouya pushed his glasses up. 'We're a little too old for that.'
'Well, that could make it funny!' Honey answered.
'I haven't played hide and seek since I was ten.' Haruhi sighed with a melancholic tone in her voice.
'I was always the last one left that had to be found.'
At that moment the king became enthusiastic.
'Ok, let's play hide and seek, then! We don't have anything else to do anyway, AND it's a perfect activity for a family!'
Kyouya sighed. 'I'm not going to participate in this. I'll just stay here.'
When Tamaki continued babbling, Hikaru turned to Haruhi again.
'I bet you can't hide very good at all.'
Haruhi laughed. 'Didn't you hear what I said a minute ago?
I was always the remaining one to be found, because I knew where to hide.'
Hikaru smirked. 'Don't act like you're a professional in hiding.'
'Oh? Wanna bet?'
'You know you're betting with a Hitachiin, right?'
'I won't lose this one.' The brown haired said confident.
'Oh.. And if I DO find you?'
'Hmmm..' Haruhi frowned.
The elder twin brother showed a devilish smile. 'Then you have to kiss me. A REAL kiss.'
Haruhi looked shocked. 'W-what?!?!!?'
'But I won't find you, so why should you worry?'
'Fine. Because you really won't find me. There's no way you will.
So what if I win?'
'Then I'll admit that you're really good and I won't tease you anymore.'
'Deal.'
'My lord!' Hikaru shouted to Tamaki. 'May I be the first one to search for everyone?'
'98..99..100! I'm coming!' Hikaru shouted.
He started to look for everyone. Well, mostly for Haruhi, since he didn't want to lose the bet.
And if he found someone else before, for example Tamaki, they would be in the way if he would win the bet because the King would find out and he would never allow Hikaru to receive a kiss from 'his daughter'. He also didn't want to stop teasing Haruhi, so he had to find her.
First he went into the barn that was across the lawn.
He caught a glimpse of blonde hair and something pink, a plushie perhaps.
No doubt: it was Honey. But Hikaru just pretended like he hasn't seen anything and just left the barn.
He started to look behind trees. Just in case.
Nothing.
Then he heard something rustle. Was it in the bushes?
He looked carefully if he saw something that looked like Haruhi.
No, he thought, That can't be. She said she's actually good in hiding.
But then he saw brown hair.
He walked to the bushes and recognized Haruhi.
'Found you,' he said.
The brown haired came out of the bushes.
'I thought you were such a good hider. It was too easy.'
Hikaru smiled. 'You lost the bet. Why didn't you try a more difficult place? I just can't believe you chose a hiding place like this.'
Haruhi came closer, as she whispered: 'I just couldn't wait for you to find me.'
And then she kissed him.
