Maintenance
This is a one shot on how maintenance on a Thunderbird ended a brother in the Infirmary once the medic had found out.
Scott was down in the hanger doing maintenance on Thunderbird 1 when he did not see a live wire and he had burned his hand on the wire. He had immediately let go of the wire. Scott knew he would have to hide this from Virgil.
Virgil was also down in the hanger doing maintenance on Thunderbird 2 and 4 and saw Scott do something with Thunderbird 1 and he then left after. "Gordon I am going to check on Scott he has injured himself on some wiring in Thunderbird 1."
"Good Luck with that Virgil you know how Scott gets." Virgil began to follow Scott and he ended up going to his room to wash his hand. Next thing Virgil knew he heard one huge bang so Virgil let himself him there was no response from Scott. So, Virgil carried him to the infirmary there Virgil flooded the injury under cold water 10 minutes both the entry and exit wounds.
Virgil had removed Scott's watch and once Virgil was sure that the burn has cooled he had placed a clean plastic bag over the burn on Scott's hand. The burn was coving most of his hand he then attached the bag to Scott's wrist with tape. He was monitoring Scott and recording vital signs such as breathing, pulse and level of response but of course Scott was unconscious so he went to complete the paper work.
2 hours later
Scott was slowly waking up and was looking around and was confused with what he was doing in the infirmary Virgil had seen he was waking up "Scott, you knew you have to be careful when doing the maintenance for Thunderbird 1 especially with the wiring you gave yourself a wonderful electrical burn on both sides of your right hand when I found you, you were out cold in your bathroom. Your hand is in a plastic bag to stop it getting infected and I am suspending you from going out on calls until your hand has healed."
"But Virgil. You need me out there."
"No buts Scott you have been unconscious for the last 3 1/2 hours. Your health first plus dad would agree with me."
"Fine Virgil you win. I am going to go to my room."
"NO SCOTT YOU ARE STAYING RIGHT THERE!"
Scott waited in the infirmary until dinner then explaining that was other story for another day.
