To Be Together Again
Prologue: Wild Passion
I don't own Lodoss War Chronicles of
the Heroic Knight, its music, or its characters. But I do own this plot line (I
really like this prologue) and any original characters I dream up. I have no
idea where this story unlike Cold Sweat or the Sailor Moon Epic (not posted
yet). I just had a wild idea one night when I was trying to get to sleep. For
all amateur writers, as you go to sleep is the best time to brainstorm ideas.
Please review because I don't think that I might finish this since I've got all
these ideas swimming around in my brain that I need to write down. Maybe I'll
actually write them…

Standing up, Spark shook his armor
into alignment and walked out of the garrison. Aimlessly, he walked around the
palace gardens, not seeing any of the beautiful blossoms.
No, he saw her face looming just out
of reach. Still preoccupied, he sat down on a bench, contemplating the task he
was assigned. The god of war had kidnapped Neese. Maybe he was unhappy with the
peace finally come to Lodoss. Still it surprised Spark that any god would take
active participation in common mortal lives. But Neese was anything but normal.
Listlessly, he thought of the golden
ankle bracelet in his barrack. It was one of a kind, in the shape of flowers.
But how could Neese get it now?

Leaf was really worried about her
captain. The news about Neese must have hit him hard. As usual, she had been
nosy and found out about the anklet when she saw Spark sneak off to the
blacksmith.
She watched him walked out of the garrison, where he
had been told about Neese, with a dazed look. She was pretty sure he didn't
even know he was awake. And now she was looking for him.
Leaf caught sight of him in a small alcove,
fingering an orchard. Orchards where Neese's favorite. Quietly, she walked
towards Spark. Sensing Leaf's presence he looked up. She noticed that his eyes
seemed unfocused.
A crazy smile lit Spark's face. Taking a step
forward, he said a word incoherently. Leaf stepped backwards; this wasn't the
Spark she knew.
Suddenly Spark's arms had wrapped themselves
compulsively around Leaf's waist. Then his lips came down hard on her own. A
strong smell of alcohol permeated around him. Whispering through the kiss he
said, "Neese…"
Leaf was scared senseless. She seemed to be watching
the scene from outside her body. She tried to scream but Spark just kissed her
harder. Then new hope arrived. Her large elf ears picked up the telltale sound
of Garric's tread.
Then she saw the ax handle come down on Spark's
head. He slumped in Leaf's arms and Ryna caught him, before Leaf dropped him.
Garric smile apolitically, "Sorry Leaf. Our captain
here isn't going normal for awhile." Leaf just nodded and hugged herself.

Oh, just had to write that.
Got to get it out of my system. See ya later! *.*
And if I spelt anyone's name
wrong, I'll fix it!
