"So, why me?"
He is currently lying on a patch of grass in the Kuroda compound. It is a nice day today and he can tell that spring is really coming. It's not too hot, the blue sky is clear and the sweet smell of flowers is carried by the wind. This is a perfect opportunity to sleep. But of course, she just has to ruin it like what she did to his life... She barge in and put everything to hell! She muddled his thoughts and turned his world upside-down, his feelings inside out until he couldn't make sense of anything anymore so for his sanity, he just stop thinking and decided to follow his instincts. Now, it leads them to this.
Suppressing a sigh, he took the magazine off of his face and look at her through his lashes. "I know I'm gonna regret this but I'll bite. What do you mean?" He asks her finally, a bored look on his hansom face.
She flap down gracelessly beside him and scrunch up her face. "I'm six years older than you, you waited two years to confess your feelings, you decided to take law and how many years is that?! Not to mention our social status! What's with that huh? Son of the police chief courting a Yakuza heiress, you're crazy!" She's shouting now, red face.
"You know how wrong this is don't you Shin?" Kumiko finally ask, deflated after her tirade.
"Yes." He replied flatly.
"So, why me?" She tried again.
In answer, he snake his arms around her and drag her down to rest on his chest. He buried his face in her hair and said, "Because, no matter what they'll throw at us, I'll love you a thousand times more."
