James walked into the house he shared with his girlfriend, Lily, with a small bag in his hand. Lily would love the present he got her!
As James hung his coat (it was extremely rainy out) he smelled the unmistakable smell of bacon coming from the kitchen. He practically ran through the small house to get there.
"You can't have any now." Lily said, not even turning around to acknowledge his presence. "It's for tomorrow morning, seeing how Sirius, Remus, and Peter will come crashing in at five o'clock or something and will make me do crazy stuff with you guys." James pouted but didn't push. She was probably true. He left her to finish making their small Christmas Eve dinner and went to go wrap the present he got her.
"James!" Lily cried an hour later. "Dinner!" James rushed downstairs like a child and ran up to the table.
"So, what's in our feast?" he asked, smirking.
"Look at the table." Lily said, returning the smirk. The two of them laughed and shared their dinner until their bellies were bursting.
"Presents?" James asked. Lily grinned and ran into the other room, James following right behind.
"Here you go." Lily mumbled, handing James a small box. "It's nothing really, I couldn't get much…"
James laughed. "That's fine here." He said, handing Lily a small box. "I have a feeling you'll love it. Open on the count of three." Lily grinned.
"One… Two… Three!" they both tore open their boxes to find what appeared to be a ball of fluff with hooks on the back so they could be hung on the tree. They both took the fluff balls out of the boxes to find that they looked like people. Lily's had long, red hair, green hair, and a friendly smile. James's had black, messy hair, hazel eyes, and a smirk. The two of them laughed as they hung the ornaments on the tree.
They stayed up late, watching Christmas specials on the television.
And sure enough, Remus, Peter, and Sirius snuck in through the windows and woke James and Lily up at five o'clock.
