My new life in Forks was just a few years ago. I met Edward, a alluring vampire at Forks' High. Yeah, I did say vampire. Maybe I was stupid to avoid his low, velvety warnings. But without me being relentless, I wouldn't have met the equally attractive Cullens. Jasper Hale has finnally deemed to stop wanting to suck my blood. But how can he if I don't have any? I love Edward, but he refuses to create me bullet-proof. I think he's just scared because I would be more powerful than him, and also because he can't read my fused thoughts. Maybe, just maybe, I will become heartless, exuse the dry humour.

"Edward," I asked him for the second time this month, "please?" My cowardly plea did not change his mind. "If I did that, I'd probably swallow you whole"

Fair enough. For now, at least. Alice looked at Edward. "Alice!" I said gladly, hugging her. "Aren't you happy, Highschool is over in a week.." I said, forgetting the whole live forever, school forever factor. Alice said practically reading me, "It's a break, until September rolls flat on it's belly." I sighed, "Can't you just NOT go to school? You've got how many years of education already?"

Edward walked up behind me and hugged me, I heard him sniffing. "Edward, I prefer just NOT to be your lunch," I said contemtly, "Besides, IF you ever turn me into you know.. I don't want witnesses exept you and Carslile to keep you from eating me." My dry sense of humour made him chuckle, a low, soft chuckle that caused me to fear him but made me love him so much more. Edward walked beside me the rest of the day, except when classes came - he only has Biolodgy with me.

That evening, I drove home, him also in my Chevy. Edward sniffed the air, not like the blood-sniffing type. "Hunters, closer to a Volturi Clan," he said while switching seats with me in the heavy truck. Edward drove fast enough to his house while I called Charlie at work "Dad, I'm going to Edward's place for the night, there's spaghetti and meatballs in the fridge from last night" "Are you going there alone with Edward?" He asked, heavy concern in his voice. "No, the whole Cullen family will be there," I replied. "Bye, Bells, be back tommorow by three." We both said bye and I hung up.

We drove up the the jaw-dropping Cullen home in my Chevy. The house made the Chevy look like yesterday's garbage dump. Edward grabbed me around the waist and held me close to him. "They won't try to come near you if my scent's close on you," he pointed out, his voice clouded with a sense of immense worry. We entered and went up the clean, bright stairs towards Edward's blank room. Maybe, just maybe I'll get you this time, I heard softly in my head.
