"Why didn't you tell me that we were nearly there?" Cara Daniels asked her parents as they drove up the long drive to Oakmill high

"We wanted to let you sleep so you could have lots of energy to help with the horses!"

Cara's parents replied

"Oh in that case thanks!" Cara exclaimed staring out the window at the beautiful horses grazing in their paddocks "oh wow look at that pony and that one, oh and that one!"

Cara's parents just laughed at Cara's excitement. Oakmill high was Cara's dream school because it not only had a great academic reputation but a fantastic riding programme. All students with their own ponies had only the best quality care for their horses.

They had five different rings two training rings, one for dressage, one for show jumping and two competition rings, one for dressage, one for show jumping. The last ring is to practice your cross-country skills, before you get out onto Oakmill's very own cross country course.

"Hey look there's Katie!" Cara exclaimed, Katie was Cara's cousin, she works at Oakmill, she's a stable-hand.

"Hey Katie, how's it going?" Cara asked as she was getting out of the car

"I'm pretty good thanks, you?!" Cara asked

"I'm alright, a little nervous though!"

"Oh don't worry, you'll make friends straight away, everyone's pretty cool around here anyway. You'll fit in straight away so don't worry.

"Thanks, So I'll see you down at the barn once I'm unpacked and settled in.
