Au challange what if Kenshin joined the shogunate

This is a challenge I have been thinking up this scenario for a while now but I cannot seem to develop it so I will give you what I have and I wish you luck. details of challenge inside.

The basic plotline for this challenge,

After leaving his sword master Hiko Kenshin is still debating about what side to join in the war. He is leaning towards the Imperialists until he comes across a family of farmers travelling to the market to sell their crop. When suddenly said family is attacked by a group of bandits. Kenshin is about to protect the bandits from bandits but before he can they are rescued by a Shogunate samurai who happens to be none other than Yahiko's father. Because of this encounter history is changed and Kenshin joins up with the Shogunate instead of the Imperialists.

This story should include drama and fighting as well as romance later on.

Kenshin meeting Kaoru when Yahiko's father takes him to see his son Yahiko.

Kenshin meeting Tomoe and her fiancé

Tomoe and her fiancé's wedding

Kenshin's meeting with Megumi before her family goes out to the battlefield.

I do not own Rurouni Kenshin or any of the characters in it I wished I did but I am also glad that I do not because I do not feel as if I could do anywhere near as good of a job as is already done if I did.
