Well here's my first try at a full summon night fic. Hope you like it please R&R. I don't own summon night or any of the characters.
Summon night : Summon Fencer
Chapter 1
The sun was beating hot as the16 year old girl traveled down the road. It was ironic that the sun was shining on a day where there should be no sun at all. Today was the day that they were burying her parents Aera and Loki. It wasn't uncommon now a days for creatures to marry there partners if both parties felt the same way. Technically speaking she was half human and half oni. So far she was the only one that had survived birth. To think that they had died in a car crash. After everything they had been through, their lives ended in a car crash.
FLASHBACK.
"Saylin, I have some bad news. It's about your parents." Blaire had just returned home from a town meeting with the chief and elders.
"What is it Master?" Even though Blaire was an older man he still wanted to be called Master instead of grandfather. Blaire thought for a minute. How was he going to tell her? He decided to just tell the truth.
"Your parents are dead. They were killed in a car crash." He waited to see how the girl would responded. Even though she looked 100 like her mother there was still Oni blood in her and it was always better not to piss her off.
"They can't be gone! You're telling me that after everything they have been through they died in a car crash!!" Saylin had picked up a class off the coffee table and threw it against the wall. It shattered so easily even though it was china.
"Did you have to break the cup? It was my favorite one." Blaire earned himself a glare form the girl. He sighed and took a step toward her. "You don't always have to use anger as a cover for your feelings. You may have oni blood in you but you also have human in you so it's okay for you to cry."
Saylin just stood there. It was the first time that someone other then her mother had told her it was okay to cry. It seems that everyone had just assumed that she would never cry no matter what the problem was.
The door opened and Orin came in closely followed by Lynn. "Is it true is Area and Loki really..." The question died on his lips when he saw his niece. She was trying to keep the tears away but they still came.
"Saylin.." Orin walked over to her and gave her a hug. He was not surprised that she was trembling. She had just lose her parents. " Dad.. Do you think.." Blaire gave him a look that said they'd talk about it later.
"Saylin?? Are you okay??"Lynn asked. Now Lynn was the closest person who could understand what she was going through being half and half.
"I'm fine.. I just need to- to.." The girls legs gave way and Orin caught her. Silently he brought her upstairs to her room and closed the door once down stairs he looked at Lynn and his father.
"There was this brief light- the same color of light that Aera had when she was Edge fencer when I laid her on her bed." Everyone looked at each other. Did Saylin gain the power of the edge fencer? If so what was going to happen that the world needed the edge fencer once again?
