Chapter 1:
My daughter, perfect mixture of us both. My son, Ryan looks just like katniss with me in his eyes.
Halle Rose Mellark & Ryan Finnick Mellark
Halle as in hazelle and gale katniss' childhood best friend and his mother and Rose as in her sister Primrose, and Ryan who is named after my best friend of district 4 Ryan Hutcherson and Finnick as in me and katniss' friend from 13.
Ryan Hutcherson used to live in district 12 until he was about 13 because of his father's illness they had to go to a different district.
Halle's p.o.v
I notice mom talking to someone and I know its aunt Effie because of her capitol accent. I overhear her telling mom there can be 4 victors this year, then I remember…the reaping.
I go to check on Ryan and he's not there so I get into hunting gear and open my bedroom window and leave.
Ryan's p.o.v
Dad and I are practicing combat skills and bonding when I can tell someone is going to ruin it. I'm right because the next thing I know an arrow just flew by my head and killed a squirrel. I yell "Halle" thinking it would be my sister but I hear dad yell "Katniss" which makes it sound something like "Haltanisse" I laugh when I see my sisters blonde braid have a strand escape.
She pops out behind a tree and says mockingly "what, just practicing." she giggles
she pulls dad over to the side and says something about a 4 year old named victor. so I zone out until I see her being treated like a baby and I know this because I hear dad using his 'lecture' voice.
They come back over and she stands next to me and says "Hey Ry, GUESS WHAT?" "what?" I ask carelessly "Random leg spasm!" she says extremely FAST AND kicks my butt."Haha, very funny." I say sarcastically.
"Let's make sure mom didn't flood the house with tears yet." Halle says in a goofish way.
Katniss' p.o.v
I am stiff and frozen.
I know that my team will consist of my children and its them against the careers and hopefully they will make it past the bloodbath.
I am already crying not even trying to conceal myself as I would when I was younger.
"I need to see them now." I tell Effie who is crying right here with me.
"I am going to wake them up, I'll be right back .I SAY as I walk up the stairs
Halle's door is slightly open so I go in and see her window open and no Halle. I slightly panic and call her cell as I walk into Ryan's room and see him gone as well.
*ring**ring*
"Hello, mom."
"Where are you and Ry, are you safe, are you with your dad, come home soon, are you hurt." I asked warily
"Mom calm down we are heading home from the woods, we are safe, we are with dad and on our way home, no we are not hurt."I tell her reassuringly
"Hi hun, you okay?" its peeta
"Yeah I'm fine just a little on edge I'll see you in a couple minutes.
"Okay, goodbye." *click*
