My First Kiss... And Then Some
A/N I actually got this story from a story in "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul". But I added some small things as well. There probably are some OOCs in there, so don't be surprised. Hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Smash Bros. You know what to do with this info, do not dissapoint me.
When I was in high school, I was a very shy person, and so was my girlfriend, Samus. For those of you who don't know, I am a girl; a princess as a matter of fact. Anyway, Samus and I were two high school sophmores in the city of Smashville and had been dating for six months. This mostly involved a lot of sweaty handholding, actually watching movies, and talking about pretty much nothing at all. There were many times we came close to kissing, we knew we both wanted to be kissed, but neither of us had the courage to make the first move. Finally, one night while we were sitting on my living room couch, she decided to go for it. We were talking about the weather (really), then she leaned forward. I desperately put a pillow in front of my face to block her. She kissed the pillow. I wanted to be kissed so badly, but I was too nervous to let her get close. So slid down the couch, away from her. She slid closer. We talked about the movie (who cared?), she leaned forward again. I blocked her again. I slid down to the end of the couch and she followed suit. We continued to talk about small, unimportant things. She leaned forward a third time and I stood up! I must have had a spasm in my legs or something. I walked over to the front door and leaned on it. I then said impatiently, "Well, are you going to kiss me or not?" "Yes," she said. So I stood tall, closed my eyes tight, puckered my lips, and faced upwards. Samus then said, "Do you really want to do this Zelda?" She obviously already knew the answer, but was probably as nervous as I was and was just stalling. "Of course I do Samus," I replied reassuringly. I closed my eyes again and waited, and waited, and waited. (Why wasn't she kissing me?) I opened my eyes; she was coming at me. Right as she kissed me, I smiled and she kissed my teeth! I could have died right there. She left.
I wondered if she had told anyone about my clumsy behavior. Since I was so painfully shy, I basically hid for the next two years, causing me to never have another date all throughout high school. As a matter of fact, when I walked down the hallway at school, whenever I saw her or one of her friends, I would quickly hide in the next room until they passed. And these were people I had known since Kindergarten.
My first year of college, I was determined not to be shy any longer. I wanted to learn how to kiss with confidence and grace. I did. In spring, I went home. I walked into the latest hangout, and who do you suppose I see sitting at the bar, but my old flame. I walked over to the barstool and tapped her lightly on the shoulder. Without hesitation, I took her in my arms, dipped her back over her stool, and kissed her with my most assertive kiss. I sat her up, looked at her victoriously, and said triumphantly, "So there!" She looked at me, shocked, and pointed to the scowling lady sitting next to her and said to me, "Zelda, I'd like you to meet my wife, Peach."
