A.N. I don't own LOK..

"Look Korra, It gets to be really difficult not forming bonds."

Mako paused and took a deep breath.

"It's really lonely. I'm sick of being distant, I'm sick of pushing you away."

He stared at the floor.

"Korra, I really like you and I think we're meant to be together." He ended quietly.

Mako paused and listened to his voice hanging in the air.

"That sounds so stupid!" He said, hitting his fist against the dresser.

He was trying to figure out how to tell Korra how he felt and he was extremely unsuccessful.

"It just sounds so awkward and rehearsed." He muttered to himself.

"Right, Pabu?" He asked the fire ferret, that barely dignified him with a response. He just looked up at Mako. It almost looked as though he shook his head, as though Pabu was calling Mako crazy with a single movement.

"I think I'm going mad." Mako muttered to himself.

"All I want to tell Korra is that I think she's beautiful, genuine, intelligent, and incredibly ferocious." Mako said to himself.

"Why can't I just do it?" He growled and pounded on the dresser again.

"It's a good thing you don't have to."

Mako turned towards the voice and saw Korra lingering in the doorway. His cheeks turned a burning red.

"Oh, Korra! How long have you been standing there?"

Korra smirked in response. "Since around 'Korra, I really like you and I think we're meant to be together.'"

"Oh...well, I do like you." Mako told her nervously.

"Well, it's your lucky day, Mr. Hat Trick." Korra told him, walking towards him slowly.

"Cuz I like you too." She finished. She was right next to him now.

All he had to do was close the short distance between their lips.

Which he did just as she did, their lips meeting in the middle.

A.N. sorry this is so bad.
