MistleToe Chapter 1
Discl : I do not own Harry Potter, but I own this fic so paws off. Summary : There is a dance at Hogwarts, and it is a rule that whoever falls under a mistletoe must kiss. Harry/Luna. Very fluffy and pointless. Please r/r.
Luna had always been different. It was the same case for Harry. They could relate. That is why they had alwasy had the strong bond together. They often exchanged glances and smiles, yet none of them knew what was going on. That night, on a Christmas dance, Harry and Luna are talking and laughing over cups of butterbeer.
"Of course not!" Luna laughed. Harry grinned, glad to have made her laugh. They joked for minutes, and their glasses were both empty. "How about we go refill our mugs?" Luna suggested. Harry nodded. They stopped in front of the buffet.
Harry noticed Dumbledore was staring laughingly at them. Dumbledore pointed to the cieling above them. As Harry watched, he noticed a strand of mistletoe. Luna had noticed too.
"It's probably full of nargles." They laughed. Dumbledore seemed to be waiting for something.
"Well, give us a kiss." He said. Luna and Harry stared at each other, horrified. But as the stare prolonged, Harry started to realise the kiss may not be so bad. It may even be wonderful.
Luna seemed to think this too. So they neared each other cautiously, and Luna planted a small, soft, perfect kiss on Harry's lips. A feeling formed inside himself. It was very different from kissing Cho. It was, seemingly, much better and true. He smiled. Luna did, too.
They took each other by the arm, mugs forgotten, and swept into a lively dance on a lively tune. They laughed and when the song stopped, they kissed, much more passionately this time. Mouths still strapped shut, however. They smiled again.
A new song started, this time a sad song. Or so he had always thought it had been, but now he knew it was a love song. It matched perfectly with what he felt right now. They swept into a slow dance, resting on each others' shoulder. Before the song finished, the words that had been etched deep inside his mind flew out of his mouth.
"Luna..." he said. "I love you." Luna smiled. It was so easy to understand each other. He had not need to say that he loved her. She knew already. That was the tight bond between each other, and with that, they kissed, letting their lips part. Ignoring both Ron and Hermione, who seemed to be kissing at the other end of the ballroom, too.
