Prologue

Once upon a time in the town of Tree Hill…

It was recess at the busy elementary school and both the first and second graders were playing out on the playground or running around on the blacktop riddled with chalk and dust. While most of the children were going down slides or playing an amateur game of basketball, a few students chose to sit at picnic tables or in the grass.

At one of these tables sat a small blonde haired boy coloring a picture and taking great care to stay inside the lines. A little girl with dark blonde hair in a braid skipped over, holding a doll in her hands, and came to a stop on the other side of the picnic table.

"Hi," she said, causing the boy to look up. "I'm Andrea. Joey told me that we have the same last name."

"I'm Lucas," the boy replied. "What's your last name? Mine's Scott."

"Mine too!" Andrea giggled. "If we have the same last name does that mean we're related?"

"I dunno," Lucas shrugged. "I mean, Danny and Anna have the same last name but they're not brother and sister."

Andrea sat down at the picnic table, brushing her doll's hair with a small plastic brush. "Do you want to be siblings? I have a brother but he's gross. He always throws his stinky socks in my clothes hamper even though he has his own!"

"I guess so. What do siblings do?" Lucas asked. Andrea shrugged.

"I guess they just hang out together and play games and watch cartoons together," she said.

"Yeah, let's be siblings. My mom doesn't like my favorite cartoons so I have to watch them alone. But now I have a sibling and I don't have to," Lucas smiled wide.

"Whatcha drawing?" Andrea asked, getting on her knees so that she could lean over the table to look at the picture,

"That's my house and that's the tree that my uncle is gonna build me a tree house in," Lucas told her, pointing at the figures.

"That's cool. I wish I had a tree house," Andrea commented.

"You can come play in mine with me," Lucas offered.

Andrea smiled widely and clapped. "Yay! Having a sibling is going to be so much fun."

...And thus began a journey of friendship, family, and so much more.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

I'm so excited to finally be writing a One Tree Hill fanfiction! I've been toying with the idea of one for a while now and, even though I'm not even finished watching Season 1, I'm so excited to be writing this. I can't promise that I'll be updating every week or that there will be regular updates, but when I can I will write and post :)

If you liked this, don't forget to favorite, follow, and review! What would you like to see in this story? Let me know in a review ;)

xoxo, Lauren
