"Do you have to use Alex?" Amy looked at her raven-haired roommate pathetically. "I really like this one."
"That depends... Do you know anyone else we could us?" Jessica glared at her, "I didn't think so. If I had a boyfriend I would use him. I told you not to get attached."
Amy sat sheepishly. She couldn't help it. He was actually a nice guy. After the recent string of assholes, she just figured she had a type.
"Now do you remember what you need? It is absolutely imperative that this happens tomorrow night. We won't get another chance."
"A picture, a lock of hair, and storage device."
"Specifically a mirror box."
"Right," she looked puzzled.
"Just remember the mirror box. If I have to explain it to you one more time I'm gonna scream."
"Okay. Geez. I'm sorry."
Jessica rolled her eyes. She had been working on this ritual for years and she could not deal with it being foiled by her best friend. If only the ritual called for a female sacrifice.
"I cannot believe you right now!" Jessica screamed as she ran through the trees of Rosswood Park.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know." Amy ran, slightly trailing behind.
"Four years!"
"I'm sorry."
She grabbed the blonde's hand and pulled her into an abandoned building. "What were you thinking?"
"I..."
"Oh, we are just going out in the woods to call forth a mystical entity that feeds on paranoia. Let's film it."
"I..."
"That won't cause any problems. Especially since one of the necessary items is a mirror box! It's not like the entity won't jump into it camera!"
"I didn't..."
"Think? Yeah, I could tell."
"It will still work, right? I'm sure he'll be far less suspicious about a camera. He is a film student after all..."
"What did you say?"
"He's a film student? He's actually going to be working on a production soon. He won't stop talking about it."
"Amy... That could work. That just might work. Though anyone else helping might..." She trailed off. She had the most devilish grin.
"Might what?"
"Huh? Oh, nothing. Nothing at all."
"Jess, you scare me sometimes."
"You're just now getting that?" She checked the surroundings to make sure it was safe to leave. "Come on. We've got a film to crash."
