Theme: Fear as daunting yet able to be overcome.
Fears are stains
We are in awe of that which we fear
Like children to the night
We embrace its cold-steel heart
As we howl at the moon
Tearing at the mask
The differences, by darkness are masked
They are what cause that stain
The moon-
Light illumines that which we fear
The things that we let corrupt our heart
They shift within the night
The burning remarks are eased with the cool of night
We finally remove the day's mask
And allow the emergence of our broken heart
We allow this stain
Even if it incites that which we fear
We will bask in the warmth of the smiling moon
If only one could be as the moon
Unafraid of the judgment of night
But alas, we hold fear
Clutching the weight to our breast, the weight of the mask
If only we did not fear the judgmental stains
Though we may have tender hearts
Perhaps they are like the moon
Without blemishing stain
Illuminating each life's own night
Peering around the cracked mask
To know that which we fear
We know our fear
How it pulls at our mighty hearts
How we are impeded by our personal masks
But, we can be as the moon
Bearing our standard bravely in the cold night
Because hope washes away all stains
Do not fear the stain
Let the night embrace your heart
Know that in the presence of the moon you need no mask
