Ok so I was inspired the other night when I was shitting myself at the storm outside (what it was really scary) and I was inspired to write this...
***
All was NOT quiet at the Bolton house. It should have been considering everyone was asleep, but it wasn't.
'BOOM!'
Ryan jumped at the sudden sound.
"Stupid storm." He complained rolling over again and came face to face with the boy of his dreams...
Charles James Danforth.
Now Ryan remembered why he was facing the window to begin with. But the flash of lighting in the sky that illuminated Chad's face made him forget it and shudder.
Ryan hated storms, really, really hated them. They always scared him shitless even though he knew they couldn't hurt him, it still freaked the crap out of him.
Why was Ryan at Troy's house anyway? Well... Troy decided it would be a good idea to invite all his friends over for the night since senior year was almost over. Troy and Gabriella were squished up together in Troy single bed while everyone else got the floor. Chad, Zeke, Jason, Kelsi, Taylor and himself (Sharpay faked sick).
Chad groaned in his sleep and tossed a little and Ryan was now seriously contemplating reaching out and touching his masculine face, touching those soft lips, with his own...
'BOOM! BANG!'
That time Ryan almost hit the roof, accidentally knocking Chad's arm 'causing him to rise groggily looking like he was going to murder the mortal who dare to wake him from his slumber.
A small "whoops" escaped Ryan's lips as he clamped a hand over his mouth. Chad looked over at him with surprise.
"Why did you wake me?" He asked settling down again.
"It was an accident." Ryan murmured. Chad didn't reply and just stared at the ceiling for a moment or two. Then there was another large flash of lighting which light up the room to sun light proportions. Ryan jumped again.
Chad looked at him amused. "Are you afraid of storms?"
"No..." Ryan replied defensively, his large theatre ego was not going to let him admit that he was scared of storms to Chad Danforth, "I was just... Startled." Ryan concluded proudly.
"Riiight..." Chad said, obviously not convinced by Ryan's argument. Ryan nodded proudly.
"Yep, not scared at all." But just as the words left Ryan's mouth, a HUGE boom of thunder rocked the houses very foundations. Ryan lunged at Chad and clung to him fearfully.
Chad chuckled and started stroking Ryan's (surprisingly) soft hair. "There, there little one..." Chad teased. "I'm here now." He finished resting his chin on the top of Ryan's head.
"Not funny." Came the muffled reply as Ryan's grip tightened in Chad's shirt when a bolt of lightning lit the sky once more.
Chad just smiled to himself. "Here." He whispered pulling Ryan up closer to him and snuggling down with the blond boy.
Ryan sighed contently and let Chad hold him, stroke him and calm him down.
The next time thunder shook the earth, it wasn't noticed because Ryan and Chad were both in a deep sleep absently dreaming about holding each other, touching each other, kissing each other...
