but maybe that's not so bad.
Genma stared up at the ceiling as he waited for Raidou to get home. Raidou had guard duty until late, again, so he wasn't due back for another half an hour at least. Despite how long Genma had lived on his own, He just couldn't sleep without Raidou there anymore.
Raidou called it cute. Kakashi called it adorable. Iruka called it sweet. Kurenai called it touching.
Genma sighed again. It was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain his 'Badass Sexy Jounin' title.
He was still a 'Badass, Sexy Jounin,' and everyone knew it, but he was also 'Cute, Adorable, Sweet, Touching, Genma.' That was not the killer nickname of a 'Badass, Sexy Jounin.'
Genma grumbled to himself, turning over onto his stomach, picking at the corner of the pillowcase when he heard the front door latch softly. He sat up and watched the bedroom door. He smiled when Raidou padded carefully in, trying not to wake him. "Hey."
"Oh, hey. Did I wake you?" Raidou slipped his vest off and hung it on the top bedpost. Genma knew it was safer there for both of them than in the closet.
"No, I was already up. Couldn't sleep without you."
Raidou smiled, stripping out of his dusty uniform and crawling into bed in his underwear. "You're so cute." Raidou kissed the top of Genma's forehead.
Genma purred, curling close to Raidou's chest.
Raidou wrapped his arms around Genma and pulled him close. Kissed his forehead again. "G'night, Genma, my cute Genma."
"Yours." Genma mumbled, tucking his nose into Raidou's neck. He yawned. It was just so much easier to sleep with Raidou there.
"Love you." Raidou mumbled.
Genma smiled, maybe it wasn't so bad to be 'Cute, Adorable, Sweet, Touching, Genma' after all. "Love you too." He drifted for only a moment between waking and dream before falling into a deep resting sleep.
Raidou smiled, smoothing a hand over Genma's hair. "So cute." He kissed Genma's forehead once more before letting himself drift off to sleep too.
