Author Note: I know I said that I didn't believe that they will be a love triangle in Episode 2&3, but hey people change. I am not sure if it's any good.
Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars. Or the song 'Desert Rose'.
Dedication: To Sting who singing and songs are the bomb!
I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in pain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand
Obi-Wan Kenobi or Ben watched as time went by. Living in the planet of Tatooine, he didn't see anyone. He missed human contact. He missed all his old friends and love.
I dream of fire
Those dreams are tied to a horse that will never tire
And in the flames
Her shadows play in the shape of a man's desire
Amidala, was the one he missed the most. She was the only one who kept his secrets, his lies, his dreams, and his fear. One of his biggest fears was to lose her. Which he did.
This desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this
He lost her, when Anakin turned. He knew that he was the reason that he turned. He knew he should have not fallen in love with Amidala. But he could help. He had always longed for her.
And as she turns
This way she moves in the logic of all my dreams
This fire burns
I realize that nothing's as it seems
But they could never be together. Anakin had also always loved Amidala, from the moment he saw her when he was nine. A crush that turned into true love.
I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in pain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand
Anakin had never known of their love. Amidala never admitted that she loved Obi-Wan back. But he knew she did.
I dream of rain
I lift my gaze to empty skies above
I close my eyes, this rare perfume
Is the sweet intoxication of her love
Anakin's and Amidala's wedding had been one of the hardest things that he had ever done. When the priest had asked if anyone knew a reason why these two shouldn't be wed. Obi-Wan almost yelled 'They shouldn't be together because I love Amidala,'. But he saw how happy they both were so he didn't say a word.
I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in pain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand
Ben went outside, looking out at the desert. Amidala had said that she should have gone with him. He almost said yes. But it would have been too dangerous. And his Amidala didn't deserve to live here.
Sweet desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this
He had felt her as she died. It had been painful for both of them. As the stories would say, she died of a broken heart.
Sweet desert rose
This memory of Eden haunts us all
This desert flower, this rare perfume
Is the sweet intoxication of the fall
He would miss her always. His Amidala.
