Princess Avalon
I sat upon a rock ashore the sunset, and the sky slowly fell. I closed my eyes, the wind blowing my hair back, crisp and cold against my wet face, now dry. I opened, the sun setting a glow upon the waters. The sea sparkled in the light of the sun, glittering up to my rock. The sea was calm that day, as my fin glittered along with the pattern of the slow rushing seas. I breathed in and let out the cool air brushing against me through the wind. I wanted it to last forever. I turned, looking at the shore with glittering sand and shells. Above the board walk sat a small and quaint village, and a glittering castle with the sun shinning off of it sat there in stunning beauty. I sighed to the beautiful sight of what may be the most fantastic place in my little world.
I turned and looked back at the open seas. Although my whole life has just been under the sea, and never upon shore, it was my home. I wanted to explore the shore where i'd see people running and dancing... I swam up to a rock closer to the shore and lay upon it, making my fin unvisible to any human who might come by. And then enough, one did.
I'd seen him before. He was a tall man, always had a smile upon his face. He was stronger that most men in my kingdom, and his clothes were always fancy and tight. He was walking down the board walk and came down to the shore. Then he turned to me. "Good evening." He said to me. "I don't think we've met before." I smiled. "I bet I would remember meeting someone like you." The man laughed. "And I you. Are you from here?" He asked me. "Well... Around this area... But not in the kingdom I should say..." I replied. "Well perhaps I could show you around sometime." He said smiling. We held hands for a moment. "My name is Prince Casimir." He said. "What do they call you?" Before I could speak, we heard a voice above us. "I must go. Me and my father are going to sea for two days." I smiled. "Well good luck on your quest, Mister Casimir." He gave me a kiss on my hand. "Until next time then, my friend." He ran up the docks as I looked down at my hand, and smiled, splashing back into the water.
