As Long As You Love Me

Suze's POV

"Susannah… This can't continue anymore. I'm a ghost and you're errr… human." Jesse angrily said, his face filled with fury.

"We talked this over before." I replied, looking at his eyes. "I can't believe that you are bringing this up again. What's up with you acting like that anyway?"

I walked over to the living room preparing to sit on the couch and get the remote but Jesse suddenly grabbed the remote from me.

"WHAT'S UP?!? Our relationship is "up"!" he heatedly replied, pushing me down the couch.

That was a strong push. Ouch.

"What if your parents suddenly question you about why you do not have a boyfriend yet? You can't just say 'Oh! I have a boyfriend and he is the ghost hanging out on my room every night,'" he added flinging his arms up and down.

I stood up so I could face him. "I could handle that by myself Jesse. Besides, my mom and my stepdad do not mind anyway. Jesse—"I was suddenly interrupted by Jesse shoving me down the couch again.

That push was harder. Ouch-er. It's much easier for Jesse to tell me that I should sit down. Next time Jesse…

"That's not all" he said, anger flaring into his eyes. "Paul told me that you needed someone who could take you on dates, movies, and stuff like that. I can't even marry you for god's sake."

I'll kill Paul for this.

I stood up. Again. "Since when did you TRUST Paul? And FYI, I don't need visible dates just to make me feel happy having a boyfriend." I answered.

"But Paul—" Jesse said but now it is MY time to interrupt him.

"Don't 'But Paul' me." I snapped. "Paul Slater is trouble. Not everything he says is true."

"Paul would be a… better boyfriend for you because he's like, human and you are like, human to so you know…" Jesse replied looking down while playing with his hands.

"Jesse, do you love me?" I asked, secretly waiting for his answer to be a yes.

"That's a stupid question to ask Susannah and—"

"JESSE DO YOU LOVE ME?" I asked, shrieking at the top of my lungs.

"Yes I do but—"

And right after that, I grabbed the collar of his shirt, smashing my lips into his. He was shocked at first but after his tongue ran through my mouth begging for entrance. Damn he is such a good kisser. It took a long time for the tongue wrestling to end before we both pulled away, panting and huffing for breaths.

"I don't care even if you can't bring me to dinner or if I cannot marry you or something… I don't care if you are a ghost and I'm not… I don't care with what Paul says and you should not care too…" I rant endlessly while Jesse was busy staring at me and listening to every word I said. "I love you Jesse. And that is what matters. I'll continue loving you… As long as you love me."
