"I'll miss you guys!" I said to my twin, Elena."Call us if you ever need us, doesn't matter what time!" She said back to me.

"I will, I love you, 'Lena." I looked her in the eyes, before shifting my eyes to my best friends and offered a small smile. I watched Caroline and Bonnie sniffle before racing over to us and grabbing me up a group hug. "Hey, it's not forever."

"We've been together all our lives." Caroline said.

"After a while, it's going to feel like a while." Bonnie finished after her.

"I'll be back... don't any of you remember? We're sisters." I mumble due to lack of air, then turning to my aunt and brother.

"And I love you guys too." I said looking at my family, the only ones I have left. "It'll get better Jer I promise." I whispered to my little brother when he wrapped me up in his arms.

"Stay safe, Salia."

A month after moving, I had gotten a job, made friends, and even school was great. I almost felt like things were finally falling into place. Key word: almost. Life wasn't complete without my family and most of the time, I was starting to feel lonely. I missed my home town and the consistent babbling of Caroline, I missed late night movie "dates" with Bonnie. But most of all I missed my siblings and my aunt Jenna. It was one day when I saw him. I don't know what it was that drew me in, but seeing him was like a connection to all things right in the world.

"Salia, hot man in a suit, staring right at you!" said my friend Natalie. Natalie was my first friend I made in California. I had tried to subtly push my hair over my shoulder and look back. My eyes were met with deep chocolate pools. The world just seemed to have melted away. He was everything I wanted in a man - well physically at least.

"He looked like a classy man, suit: iron pressed, and evenly matured physical feature and even better; a healthy build. The air around him was dangerous but there was something so addictive about his presence, I just couldn't let it slip through my fingers.

It was a week later when I saw him again. Only this time he wasn't alone, he was with two ebony men. Between the two men he was with, it was easy to tell there was a relation between the two. My guess, father and son. The age difference between the two was too large to pass off as siblings.

"Hello, I'm Salia. I'll be your waitress for the night, can I start you guys off with any drinks?" I asked keeping my eyes on him.

"Two coffees and one coke please." He replied flashing me a smile.

Once getting their drinks, I rushed back to their table. I had a desire buried deep in me, just craving to be in his presence once more.

"Excuse me, Salia, right?" They younger of the men spoke and at my nod, he continued. "What high school are you attending?"

"I'm attending the local high school, just five minutes away from here. Why?" I asked as politely as I possibly could.

"It's no reason, we had just moved down here a few days ago, Luka here will be starting school on Monday." His father answered.

"Oh, well this is a relatively small town, I'm sure you'll find a lot of friends here, what year are you going into?""Oh, so you're just a year above me, but if you see me on Monday, come say hi, I'll introduce you to some people. So are you guys ready to order?" I asked.

That night, I learned his name Elijah.
