Country-a-Rooney.
A Liv and Maddie fanfiction.
Chapter 1: "Guess what everyone?!"
"Guess what everyone?!" Pete Rooney entered the lounge smiling from ear to ear.
"Oh, not again. Dad!" Liv said, not even looking at her father. Instead, she was curling her hair. "And at least wait for Maddie. She's outside playing basketball, again. I'll get her."
Maddie jogged into the room, nearly tripping over Parker, Liv stumbled behind in her 5-inch heels.
"So, everyone; I've got a surprise for you all. We're going on holiday over spring break." Pete told the family as Maddie jumped onto the couch; Liv continued to curl her blonde hair.
"Wait. Where are we going?" Parker asked.
"Is it New York? No… Los Angeles. No… Paris. Tokyo? London? I've got it; Disneyland! You are the best parents ever!" Liv exclaimed.
"Not quite. We're going to Vermont; staying in the country!" Karen Rooney blurted out excitedly, even though Pete had won the coin toss. Both had wanted to tell the kids.
"What?!" Joey yelled, "But the country is outside! There are no kitties and I can't stay outside for more than 30 minutes a day. There are no video games and..."
"Joey, stop talking!" Maddie interrupted, her brother muttered something under his breath. "Can I bring Diggie? Please please please?" She asked. "Sure Maddie. Parker, you can bring Reggie. Liv, you can bring a friend and Joey… um…" Karen trailed off.
"Hey, that was offensive!" Joey replied.
"Anyway, we're leaving in two days. Start packing!" Pete told them. Liv had finished doing her hair now and was winding the cord around the curling wand. She grabbed her phone and ran upstairs behind the rest of the kids. When she got to the room she shared with Maddie, Liv kicked of her heels and typed Andie's number into her iPhone. She pressed call and waited for her friend to pick up.
"Hey! Are you busy over spring break? My family is going to Vermont and my mom said you can come. So, are you free in two days?"
"Sorry Liv, but I can't. We're going to Missouri and I have a ton of homework. Sorry!" Andie replied.
"Oh, that's cool. Um… okay then. See you soon. Bye" She hung up and started to scroll through her contacts. "Okay. Well Andie can't come, Joey is my brother and South is shooting a movie. Great, I have one friend, and she's not free."
"Hey." Maddie said, walking in and flopping onto her bed. "What's up?"
"Nothing. It's just, now you have Diggie, I don't have anyone. I don't know what it's like to be alone. I have Andie and she's so amazing but I barely have my twin sister anymore."
"Liv. That's not true. You know I'm always here for you, I always have been and I always will be; you know that. I'm not going to let anyone, not even Diggie, get in the way of us. You know what we say: sisters by chance, friends by choice." The twins hugged. "Come on, let's start packing. This is way more emotional than most of our conversations"
"Thanks Maddie." Liv said. "You're right."
"Liv did you take my tutu… I mean skirt? Nope, it sounds bad either way." Joey shouted bursting through the door.
"Joey, if I had taken your tutu I would be wearing it. It's pink and glittery!" Joey walked away and the girls got out their clothes and started to pack.
