Yeah, hi.. I'm new to the Chrono Crusade section of but I am not new to writing. This came to me at about 3am today, so I decided to type it up. I'm sorry if the characters appear OOC in any way, because I am fairly new to the fandom (and I've only seen the anime, though I do plan on buying the manga).
Anyways, enjoy.
I do not own Chrono Crusade. I do not own Chrono, Rosette, of Azmaria. In all honestly, I own nothing. No point in suing me.
To Wish on a Star
"Rosette.." A familiar voice sang over the field just outside the Magdalene Order, causing Rosette Christopher to stir from her nap.
"Oh, Rosette.. it's almost dinner..." The familiar voice, was of course, Chrono, who lightly tapped Rosette's shoulder.
Earlier that day, Rosette, Chrono, and Azmaria had finished their chores early, so the three friends has snuck out, and enjoyed a calm day of playing, talking, and more recently, sleeping.
When Rosette's eyes had finally begun to blink open, she noticed that the sun was almost finished setting, but stars had yet to appear.
"Mmm... Chrono? How long have I been asleep?" Rosette managed to yawn out.
"Oh, for two hours, I suppose." Chrono offered a gentle smile, helping Rosette into a sitting position, crossing his own legs, while she left hers straight out. Rosette put her hands just inches behind her back so she could lean, while Chrono's were resting on his lap.
"Where'd Azmaria go?" Rosette was becoming aware of the apostle's absence.
"She went ahead. She managed to wake me up, but couldn't get you up, so she went to make sure we'd all get food." Chrono shrugged.
"Ah..." Rosette blinked, looking up at the darkening sky. "Hey, Chrono?"
"Yeah?"
"Look." Rosette pointed up, to show Chrono the first star of the night.
"Let's make a wish!" Rosette cheerfully proposed.
"..How do you go about doing that?"
"Silly, just follow my lead!"
Rosette looked straight at the star, and said "Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight."
Chrono quietly watched Rosette in fascination, until her gaze met with his. "Umm... now what?"
"Now it's your turn, Chrono!"
"But what do you wish for?"
"Me? I wish we can have more days like today!"
Rosette and Chrono laughed for a moment, before the silence fell over them. Chrono looked up at the star, and repeated the rhyme softly, to break the cool silence. Rosette watched, eager to see her friend partake in the silly ritual. Suddenly, Chrono feel silent again.
"Well?" Rosette probed.
"Well what?" Chrono replied, evenly.
"What did you wish for?"
"It's a secret."
Rosette playfully hit Chrono, which surprised him. He was not used to this gentle kind of teasing she inflicted upon him. Chrono smiled at her.
"Well, let's go for dinner.." Chrono stood up, offering a hand to Rosette, pulling her up to her feet.
Both dusted themselves off as they headed to claim their meals.
Star, I wish for Rosette and me to have more time. I wish for her time.
I'm a sap for Rosette/Chrono, with Chrono being the more affection one... I am also a sap for lil' Chrono. He is so ADORABLE. I don't see him as 12, I see him as atleast a short 14/15 year old... who dressed funny. ANYWAYS, I love his jacket, and I plan on stealing it.
What does this have to do with anything?
