They were proud. Throughout the halls, in school, they walked hand in hand. Their smiles and glances at each other were always filled with pride and the long kisses, in dark corners, or down empty halls were always boastful.
They were not conceited, no, just happy. Whispers and comments never bothered them; their ears were only filled with the sounds from each other's lips. They lost themselves in one other and their pride only made them even more beautiful.
Two men, blissfully indulging in love, Kai and Rei, talked about their story with pride. They were the first king and king, crowned the winners at their high school prom and the student body, all around them, was just as proud to have them.
