Zosia was trying to sleep, but it wasn't coming to her.

Even with being drunk, she wasn't sleeping.

Maybe it was the unfamiliar bed, in the unfamiliar room, in the unfamiliar house.

Jac's house.

She was surprised, but very grateful when Jac brought her here after her breakdown in the taxi.

"I'm not leaving you on your own tonight," she remembered Jac saying.

And she didn't.

Well, she was alone now.

Kind of.

Jac was in the room next to her asleep.

But even though she wasn't in the room with her, she felt,,, safe.

Just like in the taxi.

As Jac held her to her chest.

And let her cry.

And told her that everything would be okay.

She promised.

Suddenly realizing she was thirsty, she got up and made her way to the door to go down to the kitchen.

As she moved to the hall and headed for the stairs, a voice called to her.

"Zosia, you okay?"

Jac heard her.

Zosia slowly turned to the door to Jac's room.

"Come here," Jac continues.

Zosia slowly opened the door and peaked in.

"Did I wake you?" Zosia asks.

"No, can't sleep," Jac replies. "I'll ask again. You okay?"

And Zosia actually smiles.

"Better than the last time you had to ask me," she replies. "I, just,,"

"What?" Jac asks.

And Zosia turns away, a blush coming to her.

"Tell me," Jac whispers.

Zosia turns to her again.

"You,,, helped me today," she starts."You grounded me, brought me back from a dangerous place."

"You made sure I was safe."

Jac just nods, waiting for Zosia to continue.

"And I just,,,, want to,," she says, but turns away again, blushing.

And not needing anymore, Jac lifts the blanket from her and puts her hand out.

And with an overwhelming wave of emotion, tears slowly falling, Zosia moves to the bed and climbs in.

She at first faces away from Jac as she gets comfortable.

Then she hears the whispered words.

"Turn around."

And as she turns to Jac and she pulls her to her, like in the taxi,, she had an overwhelming feeling again.

Of being,,,

Safe.
