A Day in White
She walked down the long corridor of the Goblin King's castle, her dress trailed behind her silently as her heels clicked on stone floor. She had been living in the Underground within the Castle Beyond the Goblin City for one whole year; every day of that year had been her first trip into the labyrinth, she could access any room within the castle walls without worry of unwanted consequences, but her favorite part was the time she got to spend with Jareth. They had learned to relax the walls of defense and allow the other to learn more and more about one another; one night in particular when he had given her some wine to taste they had found themselves in a very compromising position upon the dining room table. Had it not been for one of the messengers entering to announce Jareth's parent's unannounced visit to his castle she was certain they would have gotten to know each other a little too well at the time. That incident still made her blush crimson in embarrassment, not wanting a repeat awkward incident she had avoided having more than one glass of wine. Somehow she was certain his mother knew something had happened in that dining room for she always gave Sarah a sly look, but never said anything. The corridor was coming to an end and one of her ladies-in-waiting stood ready to greet her, she quickened her pace to meet the woman; the woman gave her a smile and adjusted the white fabric of her dress then her hair before she opened the ballroom doors. Every face turned to look at her as she entered; whispers erupted about how stunning she looked in her gown. Jareth's cousin appeared to her left and escorted her down the aisle whispering to her that if he didn't have healthy fear of his cousin he would whisk her away right there and keep her all to himself, she saw the glare Jareth sent the man whose arm was wound around hers, she knew he had heard the comment said to her. Once they reached the dais Lord Vladimir handed her to Jareth. The Goblin King took her to his side with a slightly smug grin towards his cousin, and then they turned and faced the sage who was to perform the ceremony.
As the ceremony came to a close the sage lifted high above his head a golden crown which as he proclaimed her the new Goblin Queen slowly brought the crown down onto her head. Allowed to rise again she faced her new husband, for a moment they only stared into each other's eyes with only their love, and then Jareth brought his mouth down upon hers and kissed her for all the Underground to see. Loud cheers and whoops were erupting from the entire room, and the servants which were allowed to watch from the hallway. Some servants even ran out into the city to tell the citizens the wonderful news of the new Queen and the streets were filled with cheers as well.
The visiting rulers came to the newlyweds one by one to personally congratulate and wish them well; after every guest had left he took her up to their room to spend their first night together. She couldn't help the blush that colored her pale cheeks as he laid her down upon the enormous bed, his hands deftly released her gown from her body and prepared to take her completely for the rest of eternity.
