" I've learned to live...half alive..."

Whisper stared down at her marked hand as it flashed brightly, the bright green light bringing out the bits of green in her eyes. She sighed and curled her fingers inward.

" It must be troubling...the mark."

She jumped up from her seat and looked at Solas, the apostate elf who helped her with the mark while she was unconscious.

" I never really knew people with magic, never really felt a need to know about it at all but now..." Whisper looked down once again at her hand then back up Solas," I don't know..."

Solas watched her every body movement, studying her. She was certainly unique, an elven pirate who had dalish markings on her face. That was something he didn't think he'd ever see.

" It's truly a miracle. " He said,smiling kindly.

Whisper but couldn't but return that smile. She found him rather attractive and charming, even though all he's ever spoken to her about was the Fade.

" Tell me more about your time at seas. It must've been adventurous and exciting." Solas sat in the spot next to her on the log near the fire pit.

Whisper chuckled nervously.

" My time as a pirate? I don't know if that would be really interesting to you..." She stated, fiddling with her thumbs.

" I would like to get to know more about you, you already know much about me from our previous conversation." Solas found her nervousness quite odd but interesting...and slightly cute , as everyone else says.

" Well, it was fun. I made many friends, bonding with the crew. We found a lot of unknown islands, made sure any lost inhabitants on those islands got back to the nearest city or village safely. " Whisper began," We found treasure, but we never involved ourselves in slaves. I made sure of that. My people suffered from slavery, I will not allow people - of any race of gender - to be a fucking slave."

Solas listened intensely to her, taking every word she said into consideration. The more she spoke, the more Whisper fascinated him. She was a strong one, she bloomed perfectly like a beautiful, fair yet strong flower. Her hair blew in the wind, revealing more of her facial features to his liking.

" When my ship crashed I was devastated, but I went back my clan and settled with them for a bit before leaving them and traveling once more." Whisper leaned forward, elbows plopped on her knees as her hands were clasped together.

" You are a very interesting person, Whisper. You sailed across the oceans, yet still stuck to your people and never abandoned them fully." Solas said.

Whisper grinned. As weird as it was to be called interesting, she took it as a compliment.

" I would never abandon them. I asked them for leave when I last left. They allowed it fully. They know how much of an itch I get to run out and explore." Whisper replied , eyes hazing into Solas's," I miss 'em. One day, after all this , I have to visit 'em. Make sure they're all okay."

Solas nodded in understanding.

And so began the beginning of a blossoming relationship and bond, yet soon came the end of that. For the wolf walks alone, even if it may be his greatest fear.
