Liberty
-September 14th, 2001 – Geneva, Switzerland-
"This meeting is now in-"
"Yo! Sorry I'm late dudes!"
Everyone jumped and turned to the doors in shock. In the doorway was America, covered in bandages and forced to sit in a wheelchair; both of his legs in patriotic cast. Everyone silently wondered if America was still in shock himself, he looked the same as he had the day before 'the disaster'.
"America!" England shouted. "What are you doing here?! You should be in the hospital!"
America wheeled over. "And miss a meeting? No way!" he laughed.
"America-san you are still injured," Japan said quietly.
"Never stopped me before besides I'm the heroes and heroes need no rest!" America shouted.
"Even heroes have weakness Herr Amerika!" Germany barked.
America went silent and the countries tensed. America mumbled something.
"Come again?" England commanded slightly.
"We have liberty," America said louder.
"Liberty?" France asked.
America looked at them all. "My enemies have made the mistake that they always made. They saw liberty and thought they saw weakness. What they saw was faith, nationality, and it's up to me to prove it," he said determinly.
The countries looked at him in surprise. "You have the English support," said England.
"Ours as vell," Germany said and Prussia nodded.
"You always have mine brother," said Canada.
"I will help you as well," grumbled Ireland. "Maybe I'll see this bloody liberty you're always preaching about."
France smiled. "Nous sommes tous Americains," he said.
'We are all Americans.'

Though countries, I believe, never actually did something for the conflict/war per-say but they all did something for 9/11.
In Berlin, 200,000 Germans marched to show their solidarity to America
The French newspaper of record, Le Monde, ran a front-page article reading: 'Nous sommes tous Americains'
Ireland holds a national day of mourning on Sept. 14, the only country to do so besides the US
And in London, during the change of the guards, they played the American national anthem
*NYC lit the Empire State Building purple and gold to say 'Thanks' to the Queen's Golden Jubilee*
